Canadian thrush Celine Dion is primarily a singles artist, which is a good thing, because the soaring, epic style she brings to nearly all of her material is thrilling in four-minute bursts, but nearly overwhelming at album length. Falling into You is Dion's finest attempt to temper that approach--mixing low-key love songs and dance pop between showstoppers such as "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and the Up Close and Personal movie theme, "Because You Loved Me." Dion's take on Tina Turner's Phil Spector experiment "River Deep, Mountain High" is game, but there's little doubt which singer hails from the Great White North and which one is from Nutbush, Tennessee. --Daniel Durchholz

Falling Into Celine's Voice! 
2009-05-18 - I remember this album when I was in the 3rd Grade. I remember hearing the song Because You Loved Me. That is a beautiful song composed by Diane Warren. Diane Warren wrote a lot of good ballads. Celine revisited familiar ground while venturing into new territory with this record. The album is filled with lush ballads and love songs that have become her signature, a Motown classic and tons of strong material. This album was a giant step in her career. This album features songs which revealed the full range of her vocal and interpretive skills. This album has been certified 11x Platinum. Remember, this was 1996.
One of my all times favorites
2009-03-22 - I originally bought this as an audio cassette, but, well, those don't last that long. I loved the disc since the first time I heard it. A few years later I bought the the American disc, but it was missing my favorite track: My light. This was a hidden track in the cassette. Well, this import (German version of the disc) has it.
Love it, especially 'Seduces Me' 
2008-10-28 - Get it for 'Seduces Me' alone and its worth it. Celines whiskey raspy voice gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Absolutely the most beautiful song.

2008-10-24 - Out of all her albums this one has to be my favorite. just saw her live in Portland. You wont regret purchasing this one!

2008-08-28 - This is such an inspirational CD! I love her voice, especially in number 3 - if you're a ballroom dancer, this is a beautiful Rumba! There are a couple other Rumbas worth listening to as well. Please give it a whirl first and you'll be enchanted by her, even if this is some of her early work.
