A new day has definately come for celine 
2003-03-14 - In my opinion, this is the best Celine Dion album to date and well worth the wait since her two year exodus. The album is rich in variety and unlike some of her previous work, is more commercially orientated. I love the title track- its an amazing song and was an excellent first choice for single. Some of my favourite other songs from the album are "have you ever been in love", "super love", "the greatest reward", "I surrender" and "sorry for love". Its a shame only three songs were released from the album, the album's lack of promotion is the only thing in my opinion which prevented it from selling much better.
A new day has come 
2002-09-27 - "Let the rain come down and wash away my tears" sings Celine on her new album. "A new day has come", released in Spring, really gave me strenght everytime I heard it. Yes, a new day has come for me too, I felt it in my heart, together singing with Celine. I love songs "I'm alive" (full of energy and positive emotions), "A new day has come" (both versions, Celine sounds like an angel), "I surrender" (so heartbreaking), "Sorry for love" (speaks from my heart too), "Greatest reward" and "When the wrong one loves you right". These should be use as singles, are really great. I find the others quite good, but not special. If I was Celine, I surely wouldn't record "Ten days", "Rain, tax" and "Superlove". I think the world is full of rock and boring R'n'B music. "A new day" album has highlights, but for me, the best Celine is on "Falling into you".
The world's most versatile singer !!!
2002-08-12 - Celine's new album is proof of how versatile this singer is. She can sing any type of song and has the vocal capabilities to do this. There is a song on this album to suit every musical taste.
The one thing lacking throughout the album is at least one David Foster production. David Foster has brought out the best of Celine's magnificent voice in the past - helping to bring out the true emotion of a lyric. Songs like 'The Colour of my Love','God Bless America' and 'Live (For The One I Love)' are true masterpieces.
This is a very good album. In my opinion, the most commercial (radio-friendly) album that Celine has recorded. However, for the die-hard fan - it is a shift from her adult contemporary roots. There is also a slight lack of emotion (prevailent in previous albums) throughout this album - especially in the ballads.
'Prayer' is the best ballads on the album. Celine's voice is awesome and she also portrays Corey Hart's lyrics so so well. "Can we touch the soul of heaven... can we unite a sacred lesson... Brilliant track!
'Rain,Tax (It's Inevitable)' - Celine's voice is excellent on this track - she is able to adapt her voice to give the track a real funky R&B feel. Excellent!!
'Ten Days' is also good and very different for Celine. Again, shows how versatile this singer is.
It's a very uplifting album compared to her previous work and it's one album that I can put on the CD player and listen to every single track without skipping songs. Every song is special in its own way!!!
'When The Wrong One Loves You Right' is totally magnificent and is definitely worthy to be considered as a future single!! Fantastic!!!
All in all, it's a very good album - a lot of variety and a definite album for any music lover.
Let's hope that Celine's next album will be more adult contemporary - with David Foster - that's why we die hard fans like Celine Dion. There's plenty of other singers to provide the world with pop music - Madonna, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Cher......!!!
Overall..... this album is definitely a lot better than Celine's last album Let's Talk About Love. Vocally, this album is 110% fantastic right throughout the entire album, whereas her previous album Let's Talk About Love did not showcase her vocal talents and range so much!!
The new single I'm Alive is also an extremely uplifting track & should be a huge summer smash hit all over the world!!!!

A Second Review
2002-06-25 - It's been about three months since Celine's latest offering A NEW DAY HAS COME came out. At first I was blown away by this album, however now I can offer a more unbiased opinion. This is not her best album, its far from it. There is some really strong material here, but also some less than stellar material. The songs which fall flat for me include "Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)", "Ten Days", "At Last", "Nature Boy", "Aun Existe Amor" and the bonus track "Super Love". I would give it lower than a four star rating but the other material more than makes up for these mis-steps. "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)" is a beautiful touching mother-daughter song, which is so beautiful. Songs like "A New Day Has Come" and "The Greatest Reward" marvel in the beauty and calm of her new son. "I'm Alive", which cheesy with its synth beats, is a nice uplifting song. "Right In Front Of You" is top notch, a definite instantly catchy song here. "When The Wrong One Loves You Right" is a great uptempo song, deserving of single release. "Have You Ever Been In Love" is a beautiful ballad as well. While the album has its weaknesses, it also has something to celebrate. I appreciate the fact that Celine is trying to reinvent herself with a new sound and experimenting, but next time I advise her to stick to one genre and leave the classics out.

2002-06-13 - Wow, finally it's come. I've been waiting for this cd for a long time. I've been Celine's fan for 10 years now and have never been disappointed with any of her albums, but " A new day has come" is the best one by far.
Luckly we have in Brazil the extra-track-version, including "super love". If you appreciate good music and has been been looking for emotion and devotion, go on buying the CD. It's perfect.
