2006-01-28 - This cd is a Import from Australia but I bought it for $15.00 at Wal-Mart In Beckly West Virginia i had no clue it was worth $31.99.The price is unfair but the cd Is Awesome BUY IT!

I guess this album was released at the right time. With the amazing success of "Believe", both the album and the single, Cher also released this hits collection the same year. It's a UK release only, so if the Americans slip up on it, I'd get it while you can, whether you have these tracks or not. This is definately one of Cher's best ever albums, and despite including no new songs, it's still essential and sold enough copies in its first week of release to make it chart in the top 10. Achieving #7 in the UK, where the album was released, you can relive such classics as "Believe" (US #1 UK #1), "If I Could Turn Back Time" (US #3 UK #6), "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In Hiss Kiss)" (US #33, UK #1), "I Found Someone" (US #10 UK #5) and more. You can also get the Sonny and Cher classics "I Got You Babe" (US #1 UK #1) and "The Beat Goes On" (US #6 UK #29). I'm glad they included the remix of "Dove La More" (US #93 UK #21), and I'm also glad they included the rock version of "Bang Bang" (original version - US #2 UK #3). "All I Really Wanna Do" (US #5 UK #9) is also included - Cher's first ever solo hit. There are also some nice pictures, and the front CD cover is nice too. So, from the fab tracks, down to the great pictures, let's discuss why I would've given this 4.5 stars if it was an option.
It misses two of my favourite Cher songs out in particular. It omits "We All Sleep Alone" (US #14 UK #47), which is my favourite Cher song ever, and one of my favourite songs in the world. Futhermore, "Save Up All Your Tears" (US #36 UK #37) is also missing. In my opinion, these two songs shouldn't have been ignored, especially "We All Sleep Alone". As, not only is it my fave Cher song, but it was also featured as a dance version on Cher's "Believe" (US #4 UK #7) album. Therefore, new Cher fans who had just discovered Cher through "Believe", could buy this album, and discover the original version that was recorded 11 years before the "Believe" version. In my opinion, "Love Hurts" (US ??? UK #43) should have been removed in place of "Save Up All Your Tears", because it was a bigger hit. I would've replaced "The Beat Goes On" (chart positions are mentioned above) for "We All Sleep Alone". Oh well, it's still a great collection for the songs that "aren't" included here.
Cher's Hits...
2004-04-01 - This is Cher's first Greatest Hit album to include all four hits from the ''Believe'' album, it has a nice variety of tracks, featuring mostly her previous work such as ''Walking In Memphis'' and ''Love Can Build A Bridge''.
I was really glad to see that one of my ultimate favorites by Cher was included here, the track ''Love Hurts'' is very haunting, and her vocals sound so upsetting it makes you feel depressed.
Anyhow My favorites are; 1. Believe, 11. All Or Nothing, 6. Love Hurts, 9. One By One, 10. Strong Enough, 19. Dov'e L'amore (Emilio Estefan Jnr. Mix), 3. If I Could Turn Back Time. Like I've said before, all of them are my favorites except for the very early ones including Sonny Bono- but those above are my ultimate favorites off this compilation.
Thanks to Cher, we have another Greatest Hits album, which for a big change includes all four of her dance floor hits.
Take your time to get this CD.

2003-11-22 - I bought this cd because I couldn't get one of her recent songs out of my head and knew I loved some of her others so I went for it. The sound quality is terrific - the sounds are all crisp and clear and Cher's voice is terrific. Great driving music or just for dancing around the house. The thing that threw me for a loop but I ended up liking was that there are some of the oldies on here too that I remember from when I was younger. So its a great compilation. Highly recommended for the fan who has enjoyed Cher over the years. She's still got it!
