One of the best albums of all time ever 
2009-12-07 - Every once in a while an album pops up out of nowhere and rips your guts out. This is such an album. Songwriter, melodist, lyricist, producer, singer, multi-instrumentalist and more, Chris is all of these things and has the touch. Fans of Beatles, Beach Boys, XTC, Stackridge, Tears for Fears, Pearlfishers, Badfinger, Nada Surf, Death Cab, Rogue Wave, Heart Strings, Bee Gees, Beep Seals, Wondermints, Pugwash, Terrene, Owsley, Jeff Lynne, Milk and Honey Band, Miracle Fortress, Earlimart, Posies, Guster, Boat People, Annuals, Silver Seas, Caribou, Fountains of Wayne etc etc etc grab this at once!! Life charging stuff, this will be stuck in your CD player and in your brain and heart for a long time. Hot damn!

2007-10-19 - If you like power pop at all, grab this CD immediately. The sound is a mix of Beach Boys harmonies and whispered vocals (ala Elliot Smith or Nick Drake) over music that combines Paul Simon's acoustic beauty with XTCish songwriting and Jellyfish-like production. The result is beautiful, bordering on ornate yet still emotional and intimate. Buy this album: it gets better and better with repeated listening.
