Editorial Review:
MAYHEM ENSUES WHEN ELMO AND THE SESAME STREET MUPPETS TAKE OVER THEIR OWN ALL-STAR TRIBUTE AFTER THE HOST GETS LOCKED IN HISDRESSING ROOM. SUBTITLES IN FRENCH AND SPANISH.
Description of Elmopalooza!:
Basically, this is a collection of songs from 30 years of Sesame Street, in which sweet Elmo and his Muppet pals are joined by David Alan Grier, Jon Stewart, Gloria Estefan, the Fugees, Shawn Colvin, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Grier (of the comically sour face) and Stewart (of the ironic smile) provide some funny stuff, and the Muppets share songs with the musical guests. This nonstop revue is a blast for parents as well as little ones. --Tom Keogh
Elmopalooza! Reviews:
Great family dvd!
2009-12-01 - I bought Elmopalooza for my 4 kids and they all love it! My 12 month old likes it best. It's not just Elmo and Sesame Street characters...David Alan Grier helps Elmo host the show while Jon Stewart is stuck in his dressing room. This will be a great gift for kids who love Sesame Street and music.
Might be better for older kids -- my husband & I liked it though
2009-11-28 - We got this DVD for our 18-month old and he just isn't that interested in it. Not much to engage a young toddler, especially since Elmo doesn't make many appearances nor does my son's favorite, Cookie Monster. My son much prefers the Elmo DVD about babies and animals. Or he also likes Elmo Loves You. This DVD though is fun for adults who are Jon Stewart and Chris Rock fans.
Elmo[alooza
2009-11-24 - My 2 1/2 year old loves Elmo. It's a cute tape with Childrens music on it. I love it.
MUSICLICIOUS
2008-04-15 - WE ALL LOVE THIS VIDEO. IT IS NOT ONLY FOR CHILDREN, BUT ADULTS AS WELL. IT IS ONE OF FEW VIDEOS SHE WILL WATCH FOR SHE IS NOT A TV FAN. KEEPS HER ENTERTAINED WHILE I GET DINNER READY. ITS A MUST HAVE IN MY OPINION!!!!
My kids like music
2008-02-21 - So this was a hit at my house. The 13mo old grooves and claps to most of the songs, and my 5yr old enjoys it too. The 5yr old follows the interim bits, and the baby doesn't need to be so glued. The older one started singing the songs around the house by the second watching. I don't mind the hearing the songs repeatedly in the background either. Rosie O'Donnell's song is the 5yr old's favorite (who's also been a big Jimmy Buffet fan and enjoyed seeing him,) and the baby goes nuts for the Fugees. This is my favorite Elmo simply by virtue of not leaving that awful "Elmo's World" song stuck on repeat in my head.... Elmo loves his goooldfish, his crayon toooo - Ack, I only had to think about it a second for it to happen. I might turn Elmopalooza back on.
