Fighter Reviews:
Inspiring & Empowering! 5 Star Review
2009-09-28 - Christina's single "Fighter" not only has the title track and a mix of it but also the Beautiful track mixed. All three songs are absolutely inspiring, empowering, highly paced and energetic as well as catchy with dance beats.

Fighter Original Version is the one found on her album "Stripped" with the typical references of how a person who has brought you down to the ground has actually made you stronger, wiser and more confident. It's a richly sung track displaying Christina's vocals very nicely strengthening the meaning and giving the listener more enthusiasm, hope, and inspiration!

Fighter Freelance Hellraiser Thug Pop Mix is an alternate version of the original definitely noticeable as the melody is faster, fresher, and includes dance elements not otherwise heard on the first. While the first has the raw style this has a smoother edge to once again reinforce the message behind the song but in a different style with dance vibes.

Beautiful Valentin Mix is the perfect third track to end the single because once you hear the first two the emotions of feeling strong, confident, and ready to take on the world get more reinforced as feeling beautiful, happy, and in control not to mention the dance mix is definitely fresh. It strays from the original pretty much giving it a more smooth finish like the second track and glossing it over with Christina's beautiful vocals that only give it more infectious grooves!

Nothing is BETTER THAN CHRISTINA! 5 Star Review
2005-09-22 - Christina Aguilera has a beautiful voice, wonderful lyrics, and no one could possibly beat her. The song Fighter is a GREAT song for those who relate especially, and I know only an extremely intelligent person could write that song, not to mention to a PERFECT job at singing it! You wont find anythign like this from Britney Spears or anyone else!

What is she thinking? 1 Star Review
2005-06-26 - Fighter? Maybe, but the sound of the song is wrong. Christina Aguilera is a terrible rocker, if you call her that! Rock is something she's weak at singing. Just because Dave Navarro plays guitar on this doesn't make it good. It makes her a rock sellout. Avoid at all costs unless you want to see Dave Navarro go pop.

A Great CD Single!! 5 Star Review
2003-06-25 - With Christina being my favorite female singer, it's no wonder I love her hit singles! But that isn't the only reason I love this album. The first track--"Fighter (original verion)"--is an upbeat song with a lot of heart and soul put into it, and you can tell she means what she sings.

Fighter (original version)-5/5
Fighter (freelance hellraiser)-5/5
Beautiful (Valentin mix)-5/5
AVERAGE RATING-5/5

A Beautiful Fighter 5 Star Review
2003-06-22 - Through tough times, Christina Aguilera has proved that she can be anything she wants, and she defies it easily and almost readily. With her raunchy single 'Dirrty' being a hated or loved track, to 'Beautiful' quite possibly one of the best ballads I've heard, and now to her latest single 'Fighter' an empowering rock-influenced track that shows that she's a fighter, and she's not going to give anything up just yet.

The single although meager in tracks, is sufficient in the quality of songs. 'Fighter' as stated above, it is a strong and empowering track, with its obvious rock-influences. Although it's good in my opinion, I wouldn't say it's catchy nor attention-grabbing. For those looking for something like that, look somewhere else as this song has to grow on you.

Strangely enough, I never though remixes would be commissioned for this single. But I guess I was wrong. The Freelance Hellraiser remix takes the song onto a different level, although it's by far not the normal dance remix. Unique is one word to describe it, but you would have to hear it order to get the real feeling of it.

And the remix that makes this whole single worth it was the previously un-released Valentin Club Mix of 'Beautiful.' The Valentin Club Mix is a trance eurodance-influenced track that makes the song into a dance anthem. The highlight of a club. In addition, it creates a different uplifting mood for the song that is fitting with the lyrics. DJs and music critics would probably say that the vocals and instruments are off-key and mis-aligned, but I would say that most people would ignore this and enjoy the song for its music and emotional feeling.

This release is the UK release, which fortunately has the correct remix for 'Beautiful.' There is an Australian import available here on amazon.com but that has a mislabled remix of Beautiful.

Overall, the single is only for hardcore Christina fans. Most casual listeners would probably enjoy her album 'Stripped' more as it is more songs for your buck. Of course, if you like the song enough, it is definitely worth it. But I'll leave you to decide whether or not it's a good buy.
