Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits Reviews: Incomplete 2009-09-01 - I love the bright colored pictures in the booklet. I wish she had of added all her singles. I understand why she didn't. She only put her own hit songs on each different cd for each country, providence, etc. I would of liked for it to have all her singles, collaborations, outworks and more new songs on 3 cd's. I think more of her fans would of bought it.
Overall this is a great collection. 2009-04-27 - Overall, I'd say this is a great collection. Although it was released as sort of a new cd, because of the two singles new singles. It was definitely Christina in a different form. I thought Keeps getting Better was pretty good, until I heard a few other songs come out around the same time, and they seemed to do a better job at the techno dance sound. Dynamite should have been promoted as the lead single. I thought it was off the chain, haha ok maybe not that great. But it was fun, quirky and just something different then what most people are used to. I will say as for the comparison with lady gaga. Gaga produces better music in this type of dance music genre. It will be intersting to see her next album come out.
4.5 Stars for the Import Only 2009-01-13 - I purchased the European version through Amazon.com which includes 16 songs (vs. the USA's 14 songs) plus the music videos. There's no way I would have paid for only 14 when Christina has had so many hits. And for the life of me, I can't figure out why the CD can only be purchased at Target in the US. I mean, if they're going to restrict purchase, at least offer the complete play list. From what I understand, there's a Japanese version that offers 17 songs. Why? Anyway, the CD is a real treat for me and illustrates how Christina has grown from a girl into a woman as well as vocally. I have to say I do miss the 'young' Christina. ;-) No matter, though. Christina is one of the great voices of our time.
Christina Aguilera Keeps Getting Better: A Decade Of Hits Review pt.1 2008-12-25 - This is by far the best Christina Aguilera album ever! It has all of her greatest songs! although if I were to make the CD I would make the track listing the following:
1. Keeps getting better
2. Genie 2.0
3. Dirrty (ft. Redman)
4. Fighter
5. Candyman
6. Hurt
7. Beautiful
8. Ain't no other man
9. Come on over baby (All I want is you)
10. You are what you are (Beautiful)
11. Genie in a bottle
12. I turn to you
13. What a girl wants
14. Dynamite
"Better" Isn't Good Enough... 2008-12-01 - The U.S. version of Keeps Gettin' Better - A Decade of Hits is missing a number of Aguilera's radio hit singles, many of which have been mentioned in other reviews here. Please note that the import CD versions from Europe and Japan have MORE TRACKS than the American CD. For example, "Lady Marmalade", "The Voice Within", "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" are added to the Japanese version. For Europe, they added "Lady Marmalade" and "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" but NOT "The Voice Within." So, while it still may be missing one or two tracks, like "Reflection," the Japanese edition is clearly the best option if you are looking for the most complete collection of Aguilera's solo material (and the U.S. version is the worst). Sadly, instead of adding remakes of two of her old hits, she could have made this collection of singles relatively complete. Oh well...
