Editorial Review:
Teenagers telling ghost stories while stranded in the middle of nowhere sets the scene for this collection of horror tales such as a girl terrorized by a psycho she "met" on the Internet and a biker visiting a haunted farmhouse.
Campfire Tales Reviews:
Great movie
2009-01-10 - I am a big horror movie fan and this is one of my favorites.Great acting. My favorite story is the first but the end of the movie was unexpected Loved it.
Late
2008-05-11 - "Campfire Tales" is a story about four teenagers who, on their way from a concert, get involved in a car crash. While waiting for someone to stop and help they decide to keep themselves enteratained by telling each other urban legend stories. It's a wonderful premise however, I guess I'm a bit late to this movie. It was extremely easy to figure out what was really the case here. I guess the true moral of this story is that not everything is as it seems. Still....it's a guilty pleasure.
Yay!!!!
2007-12-17 - I remember seeing this movie on tv a lot a long time ago. I really like this movie because it is scary and the ending is surprising. This movie is a must buy!!!!
The Twist
2007-06-13 - I really liked this movie. It was creepy and entertaining. This would be great to watch with the lights off, curled up with your sweetie. The twist at the end though I did not see coming. It lifted this movie (not that it needed a lot of lifting) about the average 'B' movie. Four stars is fair as this film delivers what it promises when you read the cover. It's worth checking out.
Campfire Tales : Just creepy enough
2006-11-23 - "Campfire Tales" is a decent low-budget horror movie. The concept is really good; A group of teens who have a car accident, ride out the night by telling each other urban legends at an old, abandoned church. Unfortunitely, not all of the stories work. The brief opener, "The Hook" is beyond hokey, & "People Lick Too" is just plain uncomfortable to watch. "The Boyfriend's Death" is far superior, and is genuinely unsettling. "The Locket" has it's moments, and ends up enjoyable if for nothing else then the final scene (which was over the top and funny, in a b-movie kind of way). The film itself, has a really nice twist, which is rare in horror movies (or any movies these days, when the ending if often a forgone conclusion). Overall, not the best, but "Campfire Tales" definitely has it's moments which make it worth seeing.
