I loved this book! 
2009-11-02 - I really loved this book. It was funny, thought-provoking, inspiring, and just an overall good read! I was all ready a Chuck Norris fan from way back, but even those who aren't necessarily fans, will find this book good.
At the beginning of each chapter, there is a carcitature of Chuck with one of the famous sayings that are so prevelant on the internet and even posters. For instance one of my favorites is, "Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas to bed at night". Hilarious! I love Chuck's sense of faith, family, and patriotism. He has so many motivational thoughts throughout the book that will make you see how we all have something to contribute and not to give up on our dreams. For myself, I'm definitely keeping this book on my bookshelf to turn to when I need that extra boost to keep going for my dreams. Really - it was that good.
Lest you think this is a book of "look at me, I'm so good" - let me set you straight. Chuck is upfront about his failures as well as his successes. He gives glory to the One that deserves the glory and Chuck's faith in God is evident on nearly every page.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book. It was SO good and I know you'll love it, too.

2009-10-25 - I devoured Chuck Norris' Official Fact Book this weekend. It was so good!! Tyndale sent me a free copy to review and I am glad they did. I am about to purchase several to give away as Christmas gifts. My husband snatched it from me and now he too is reading it and enjoying it as much as I did. This book is funny, encouraging, and helpful. Chuck Norris gives us insight into how we can live a successful and happy life. The delivery of the book is humorous while the message is meaningful. Chuck Norris Fact #1 - Chuck Wants You to Read This Book
2009-10-24 - You've all heard them. Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one bird. When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn't pushing himself up, he's pushing the earth down. Jesus can walk on water, but Chuck Norris can swim on land. Chuck Norris' tears can cure cancer - too bad he's never cried. Ok, Ok...enough already. I could go on forever. But what you may not know is that behind the legendary Chuck Norris jokes, is Chuck Norris the actor.
Movies like Missing in Action, The Delta Force, and their respective sequels. For his movies, I remember him most through The President's Man, where he played Joshua McCord. He also did television, most notably Walker, Texas Ranger which ran for an amazing 8 seasons. I (literally) grew up tuning in each week to see how Ranger Cordell Walker dispatched the bad guys. But before his acting career, he was Chuck Norris the martial arts expert.
Now Mr. Norris finds himself doing something else. Writing. Now this isn't Norris' first book. His biography Against All Odds is right over there in my shelf of biographies. But here, for the first time, Norris gives us some insights into his life and career, and he does so by tying them to his favorite Chuck Norris Facts.
This book is basically a collection of small essays either telling a story about Chuck, or him speaking on different issues he is passionate about (the economy, martial arts, etc.). Through it all, we see what role Chuck's Christian faith plays in his life. The books concludes with his official testimony.
So whether you're a fan of Chuck Norris for Walker or for his movies or for his acting or for his martial arts or for his political activism or even for his endorsement of the Total Gym - or even if you're not a fan of Chuck Norris - you should scroll up now and buy this book. Partially because it's a great read, but mostly because Chuck Norris wants you to... and he's standing right behind you.

A Man worthy of far more respect than I reallized
2009-10-22 - First, I have to say, "wow." I feel like a kid saying that, but I had no idea growing up what the big deal was about Chuck Norris. Then, over the past few years I started hearing about these internet rumors about him and I didn't understand the fascination. I think I got a clue about all of that in reading this book.
This book is a collection of Chuck Norris's 101 favorite internet rumors about himself. I learned a lot of interesting things about Chuck Norris in this book. First, his first name is Carlos--he got nicknamed Chuck in armed forces. He got married 10 years ago (He is now 69) and has twin 8 year old boys. He loves God. A lot. And he loves his family and this country.
With each rumor, he shares either a story about his life or some of his perspective about life. He does talk about God a lot in this book which was very interesting to me.
I realized as I read this book that I really had known nothing (!) about Chuck Norris before I read this book. And now, I've learned a lot. Honestly, I can say that I'm glad that I read this book and I know about 10 people that I want to tell about this book right away--because I think they'll genuinely enjoy it.
Note: I did receive this book as a complimentary copy from Tyndale Publishing. But, I definitely would have bought it on my own!
The perfect place for this book: In the bathroom, so that when you can shut the door and steal a few minutes of peace away from the kids-- you can sit, laugh, and read something light, funny, and encouraging!
