Editorial Review:
With one foot in traditional Irish music and the other in smooth, sophisticated pop, the Corrs--a family quartet made up of three sisters and their brother--seem to have all the bases covered. On their appealing debut album, the group plays it both ways, leading with fetching love songs such as "Runaway" and the title track but incorporating fiddle, tin whistle, and bodhrán into nearly every track while tossing in snippets of traditional-leaning material such as "Carraroe Jig" and "Erin Shore" for good measure. Imagine the Spice Girls if they could play their own instruments and were inclined to do so down at the local pub. If that seems like a stretch, listen to the gossamer strains of "Heaven Knows" or "The Right Time" while downing a few pints. You'll eventually see the connection. --Daniel Durchholz
Forgiven, Not Forgotten Reviews:
The corrs Forgiven Not Forgotten
2009-11-21 - I found this album from beginning to end to be really good if I wind up losing it or breaking it I will be back for a fresh copy.
Blending the best of traditional, contemporary Irish music
2009-09-20 - The Corrs magnificently blend very traditional Irish music (most beautifully done) with a more modern sound. The vocals are very strong, and all the instruments played to perfection. The production of each song could not have been better. If you are in any way a fan of Irish music, this is a must have. If you love to hear strong and beautiful women's voices, again this is a must have. They have my respect.
The Corrs
2009-05-08 - ... another great CD by the Corrs. Another very high recommendation. They really are great!
Good on the first try
2009-05-04 - Forgiven, Not Forgotten is 48 minutes and 48 seconds long and was released on September 26, 1995. Forgiven, Not Forgotten reached #131 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Album charts and #3 on the U.S. Heatseekers and went Gold. This was The Corrs debut album. The Corrs fare much better in their home country of Ireland then in the United States; chart wise. Only two songs from the CD charted in the United States. Forgiven, Not Forgotten is done in the genre of Celtic and folk rock. Forgiven, Not Forgotten gets an AAA+++ for a debut album.

What a great classic CD from my favorite band!
2008-09-22 - I'm a Corrs fan from a long time ago (since 2000) until now I still really like them very much. I think this cd is fabulous. A lot of great songs is my favourite : Runaway, Forgiven Not Forgotten, The Right Time, Love To Love You. But the one which outstanding me is Heaven Knows. Sharon's violin on this song really gave me a goosebump. My other favorite Corrs album is In Blue (Special Edition) but this Cd really show the fans the whole thing about The Corrs. Their traditional music, their talent, and their great songwriting ability which makes no doubt to me for giving this album 5 Stars Rating.
