Editorial Review:
Cradle Of Filth have achieved a reputation for controversy and shock virtually unparalleled in rock music over recent years. Yet very little is known about how this strange collective came to be and where exactly it is they're going. Using interviews wi
From the Cradle to the Grave Reviews:
Not even One
2003-01-24 - This DVD is a waste of time and money. all it talks about for 45 minutes is how the band got started who did the art for their older albumns and a bunch of time consuming .... Get Heavy Left Handed and Candid.
SAVE YOUR FILTHY LUCRE
2002-12-17 - I imagined when I purchased this DVD that there would be a certain modicum of substance and authenticity involved. Quite the contrary...it's a jumbled, ill-conceived package of fluff which could rarely evoke a second viewing. The interviews of ancillary charter members and managers from the band's past lack any sense of profundity as they come interspersed with schlocky occult visuals and the minimalist addition of "canned" metal riffs (none of which is original Cradle of Filth material).
I was hoping to at least see a little bit of live coverage from some early shows. Nope, ain't gonna happen. Basically, there's nothing here that a half hour surf on the internet couldn't give you in much more sordid detail. No original music. No concert footage. Just somebody's idea to make some easy money. Your filthy lucre could be much more "lucre-tively" spent on
Cradle's "Heavy Left Handed & Candid".
You have been warned...
dont buy this dvd
2002-12-02 - this is not an official cof dvd. it is totally unauthorized and isnt very good anyways. the band themselves even recommend not buying it. a total waste of time n money.
Very bloody... great stuff!
2002-11-29 - I have to admit, this is a great documentary, giving a full account of COF career. The band are talking a great deal about their lives and attitude to black metal... Also plenty of footage, interviews with the fans and snapshots from gigs. There's also a discography as an additional feature. I'm sure you would find it a great thing to buy.
o.k.
2002-11-16 - Yeah, it was alright. Unauthorized documentary so there was no music by the band, which [was bad]. Other than that, it was pretty interesting. Hey baby, nice aesthetics!
