Brotherhood Creed
2007-11-23 - I own this CD, I bought it for $1.00 USD at Disc Jockey (now F.Y.E), and I must say: I got what I paid for.
Though, I believe, that "Helluva" (original/remix) was the song that placed them on .. whatever "charts" back in 1992, I felt that was not the best song on the album. I felt "Miss Terry" was, and more so for the adolescent point-of-view of almost every male (or the opposite for the opposite) teenager at that age who, in essence, is excited (in a physical way) towards their female teacher. This song plays well in that arena; though the original "rock" version is much better (different name, same premise).
The music itself, without the singing, is pretty good. If they had a separate album without the lyrics, I'd say buy that one. There is some R&B in some of the songs, and it's of higher quality than the rapping.
"Don't Let The Weather Fool Ya" - has a good mix of R&B and Rap; the former being the best, along with the music, but, the rapping isn't too bad but close.
"Shells by the Sea-Shore" and "Shoop Shoop Shoo Doo" are the worst songs on the album, in my opinion.
The rest of the songs are average, mainly due to the R&B quality, and the music itself.
Overall, I give this a 2.5/5, mainly for the effort; and that the fact that some of the songs seem to express musical prowess yet fall short in totality of the album.

don't believe the hype!! great cd
2005-07-12 - hey this cd is one of the most under rated rap cd's ever made.if you like hard core or ass shakin hip hop then this is not for you. but if you like the mellow sounding hip hop like de la soul, tribe called quest, digable planets then you'll like this cd.
pure garbage.
2005-04-20 - This was one of the wackest cd's I've ever heard. Man, when I was in 5th grade, I loved hearing Helluva, the beat was great, especially sampled that oldies song mentioned previous, and they were talking about some chick they were obsessed about. But then the rest of the cd, weak weak lyrics, wack @$$ beats. I was like, this is MC Hammer level. I was so dissapointed, do not own this cd, because after one listen through every song, I was so disgusted. Save your money. This is a classic example of weak hip hop.
lame album
2004-05-02 - this shiznick was wack. 'Helluva' used a sample from an old Betty Wright song for the beat, which was mad doo doo. why the heck they formed in the damn first place.
