Don't Stop Dancing / With Arms Wide Open (Acoustic) Reviews:
Awesome. Totally worth it. 4 Star Review
2003-02-16 - I am one of the biggest Creed fanatics around. I bought this cd mainly because of the acoustics and I must say they are awesome. I don't see why anyone would not like them. I do not think these are the same exact vocals as the regular versions. These are newly recorded acoustics. Creed wouldn't be that cheap. This cd is a must have for any Creed fan. But if you're new to Creed, please buy Weathered, Human Clay, or My Own Prison first.

A disappointment...way below Creed standards 2 Star Review
2003-01-09 - First off, I am a HUGE Creed fan. I own all three of their albums and listen to them on a daily basis. That's why when I found out that there were acoustic versions of both "Don't Stop Dancing" and "With Arms Wide Open", I jumped at the chance to get it. I was very disappointed. The acoustic verson of "D.S.D" is decent, but somehow empty. It features Tremonti "raking" away on a guitar and Stapp's vocals, but it's missing any kind of "feel" or "passion" to it...not to mention the fact that there is something wrong with the sound quality of Amie Stapp's vocals...she sounds very different and almost "removed" from the recording. But the biggest let down, I am sad to say, was the "acoustic" version of "W.A.W.O." It starts off promising enough, but then it becomes no different than the radio version, with Tremonti "raking" on an acoustic guitar in the background. In fact, it's safe to say he probably just played over the original recording. To make a long story short, if you have Creed's albums, be satisfied with those and go ahead and pass this one up.

Get It For The Acoustics 3 Star Review
2002-10-24 - OK, first the negative:

For anyone planning on purchasing this for the 'Don't Stop Dancing' video, DON'T. Once again, Wind-Up screws up a U.S. release of a Creed single by including a sub-par format quality video of the title track. With the 'With Arms Wide Open' single released 2 years ago, it was a [very bad] Quicktime format video for WAWO; with this, it's even worse ....

Brace yourself ......

It's REAL MEDIA!! HOW COULD THEY BE SO FRIGGIN' STUPID!?!?!?! Even a blind man can see how horrible ANYTHING encoded to RealMedia is, but of course Wind-Up goes with the most useless and worst possible quality format.

OK, on to the positive:

The acoustic version of 'Don't Stop Dancing' is amazing. Creed never ceases to amaze me with their acousitcs. I'm looking forward to a future all-acoustic release from these guys. My only negative about the music is that Amie Stapp's (lead singer Scott's little sister) voice seemed to be turned down a few notches in the acoustic DSD. Not a huge problem, but still a tad bothersome, especially since she has such a beautiful voice.

All in all, I'd recommend this to anyone, as long as you're not getting it for the video.
