Oz (TV Series) Reviews:
Question...main theme?
2008-01-02 - I was mainly after the main title theme, does it have a name and artist, I am getting that it is not on this album?
Average Soundtrack - Diverse
2004-11-16 - This album succeeded in getting rappers from everywhere on here (East, west, south, midwest) but most of the tracks are just average. It has a lot of big names on here but most of the songs they put on the soundtrack are probably throw aways and it shows. It starts off very strong but halfway through most of the tracks that follow aren't really any good and not worth listening to (A few after number 7 are good but not many). There are some skippable tracks but there are also some real good songs. I'm up in the air for a recommendation, if you like all kinds of rap then this is for you, if you really are only a fan of one kind of rap, then I wouldn't get this.
#2 - 9 (Kurupt & Nate Dogg)
#3 - 8.5 (RZA, Method Man, Street Life, Raekwon)
#4 - 7.5 (Snoop Dogg)
#5 - 8 (Pharaohe Monch)
#6 - 8 (slower song by Krayzie Bone f/ Lareece)
#7 - 6.5 (Master P, Slay Sean, Short Circuit, Krazy)
#8 - 4 (Devin the Dude - one of my least favorite of his songs ever)
#9 - 7 (Kool G Rap, Lord Jamar, Talib Kweli)
#10 - 5 (East Side Cult)
#11 - 6 (Cypress Hill)
#12 - 10 (classic gangsa $h!+ - Styles f/ Jadakiss)
#13 - 6 (trick Daddy)
#14 - 7.5 (Drag-On)
#15 - 5.5 (Fiend, Blaxuade, magic)
#16 - 5.5 (Three-6 Mafia)
#17 - 6.5 (Tez & Tajiee)

pretty good soundtrack, worth your money
2001-12-11 - if you are a fan of the hbo series 'oz' or if you just like rap then this soundtack is for you. the 'behind the walls' song by kurupt and nate is off tha hook!!!! that is definately the song on the album. my other favourite tracks are drag on's bangin joint 'tonight', 'what is the law', nother tight song by pharoah monch, 'shackled up' by krayzie Bone, 'incarcerated' by majic, blaxuede & fiend, snoop's 'land of oz', and the wu-tang's head-banger, 'what you in fo''. even cypress hill have a tight track with 'can i live'. buy this soundtrack now, it's worth every penny. in my opinion almost everyone on this outdo themselves (...) if you want different artists over funky beats this is for you. 'welcome to the land of oz'!!!
this soundtrack is bangin!
2001-07-21 - this is the best soundtrack i heard in a while people! kurupt's track is bangin with nate in the background giving him some love. wu-tang's track is tite with rza coming with some follow up lyrics from his domestic violence track from bobby digital. snoop's and drag on's track on it is just funky, something you can bounce and rub up on a girl to, nah mean. pharoahe monch comes correct on the lyrics for his track "what is the law" and the beat gets your head noddin. krayzie bone's track is a mellow track something for you peeps to smoke to. kool g rap comes through with some thug rhymes on the oz theme joint. and cypress hill came through with a dope track. if you feelin the show and a hiphop fan you gotta check this album out. if you just a hiphop head and can't afford HBO or just have basic cable or no cable at all check it out for some bangin tracks by some of hiphop's best, nah mean. CA all DAY! peace!
