Editorial Review:
Alone on "Executioner's Row," Ned Blessing (Daniel Baldwin) is a haggard, old cowboy and former sheriff. With nothing more than reflections on a life that's been filled with danger and excitement, he marks his time waiting and hoping that the man responsible for his imprisonment makes an appearance before the hangman does. With only a few days left to live, Blessing recounts his unbelievable life story. We meet Ned as a young boy heading west with his father, Anthony (Chris Cooper). We see the brutal shooting of Ned's father by the notorious Bruto Half-Tongue (Miguel Sandoval) and Ned's enslavement by the Commancheros, a dangerous band of Mexican outlaws. While in Mexico, Ned meets Crescencio (Luis Avalos), a healer and visionary who will watch out for Ned the rest of his life. We also meet the beautiful Jilly Blue (Julia Campbell), the love of Ned's life, and the ruthless Tors Buckner (Jeff Kober), Ned's worst enemy. With just days between Ned and the noose, Ned has nothing to gain and no time to lose. But as we witness how these characters helped to weave Ned's life together in this action adventure Western, Ned's about to set his record straight...if the hangman doesn't get there first.
Ned Blessing - The True Story of My Life Reviews:
OK movie
2008-10-30 - This episode is the first of the Ned Blessing TV movies. It is not as good as the ones that followed. However, only because of Baldwin being in it. Not a good actor. It's worth watching however. The story is good enough and the other actors are also good. Recommend if you are a western fan. Also get the ones that continue the story. They are worth watching.
Ned Blessing : The true Story of My life
2007-11-28 - I also Found this Title to be in top like new condition. I am pleased with the speed in receiving the product & glad I can add it to my Ned Blessing collection
Is this"Lone Justice Live" at the Ritz?
2006-09-04 - The release dates in the spec's are way off.
I think this is the reason for the comments in the second review. The release date is 1987 for the December 1986 concert.
I agree that the cover photo should be pictured. Several western movies had this name. If this is the real thing, I give it a 5. I had the original concert off MTV or VH1 and bought the VHS tape when I found it. Looks like none of her other work made it to DVD athough I have 2 of her CD's.
Live 1986 performance of Lone Justice!
2006-08-05 - This 1987 release by Geffen Home Video features a live performance of rock band Lone Justice w/ lead sinder Maria McKee on December 13th, 1986 at The Ritz in New York City. Songs performed on this 35 minute video are I Found Love, Ways to be Wicked, Wheels, Shelter, Belfry, East of Eden, and Don't Toss Us Away.
Hope this helps!
What happened?
2006-06-25 - I just finished watching Ned Blessing The True Story of My Life
and enjoyed it very much, I too wonder how it ends. If it is a TV pilot then bring it on, We need more interesting story lines on television then just Law and Order, CSI's the world over, that seem to be always on the air ways. Too many soap operas night and day not to mention reality shows. As for the previous review, the Ned Blessing The True Story of My Life I watched starred Danial Baldwin not Stephen, maybe that is why you did not enjoy it. This movie was not by any means an Oscar winner but very enjoyable to just sit down relax and be entertained for a few minutes.
