Other People's Money Reviews:
Little known Danny DeVito movie
2009-11-28 - Great Danny DeVito movie. Played against type - what we normally see him portray. You really hope he can get the girl by the end of the movie. Best Penelope Ann Miller ever looked.
Corporate Takeovers and fun
2009-11-22 - I've always loved this movie. Gregory Peck is a sympathetic character who runs a factory that needs to be either updated or liquidated. Danny DeVito plays Larry the Liquidator who is prepared to do it. If you think takeovers are horrible be prepared to root for Peck. I personally think they helped improve the economy so I rooted for DeVito all the way. Regardless, it is a fun movie with some realistic settings and issues.
Great Movie
2009-08-29 - I teach Corporate Finance, and it is a better lesson than Wall Street - a lot funnier too!
Great movie!
2009-05-21 - This has been one of my favorite movies since the first time I saw it (a long time ago). It' a classic 80's movie and a little corny sometimes but one of Danny DeVito's best movies!
Entertaining and even educational
2008-11-21 - In general, I like most Danny DeVito films. He is a comic genius, but also manages to slip in some telling social commentary. This film is no exception. It has great one-liners, mixed with enough sound economics that Instructors at the college where I teach have students watch the film in business classes. You will be entertained and even learn something. What more could you ask?
