Editorial Review:
In December 2002, country singer Darryl Worley traveled with the USO to Afghanistan, arriving home on Christmas Eve. Two days later, he collaborated with songwriter Wynn Varble on "Have You Forgotten?," a 9/11-themed call to battle that emotionally evokes the falling Twin Towers, the ruined Pentagon, and the heroes in a Pennsylvania field, even as it takes a giant leap in equating Bin Laden with Saddam Hussein. The single became an instant hit on radio, which meant Worley needed an album to go with it. The problem was, he had only a couple of new songs, including "I Will Hold My Ground." And so DreamWorks reprised six songs from Worley’s 2000 debut album, Hard Rain Don’t Last, and another half-dozen from his 2002 CD, I Miss My Friend, to form this collection. As with new songs "Shiloh" and "I Will Hold My Ground," most of the recycled songs ("POW 369," "Those Less Fortunate Than I") fit the pro-war mood or take on new interpretations in light of world events. No matter what your political bent, this compilation showcases the twangy West Tennessean as a honky-tonk master very much in the vein of Merle Haggard--even if he lacks the Hag’s irony and understatement in matters of war. --Alanna Nash

Have You Forgotten? Reviews:
"Have You Forgotten" is the most amazing song I have ever heard 5 Star Review
2008-01-13 - "Have you Forgotten", whether you agree with the words of this song or not, without a doubt, stands out. This is the most amazing and powerful song I have ever heard. I am a strong believer of the message that this song portrays. This song speaks to the individuals who don't believe in war, the ones protesting, and the ones who unintentially are not supporting our troops overseas, and asks them "Have you forgotten;" "have you forgotten, all the people killed? All the loved ones that we've lost, and ones left to carry on?" This song definitely makes you think. I bought this CD just for this song and am glad that I did!

Darryl Worley 3 Star Review
2007-12-31 - I heard the title song while driving recently - I'm not a country music fan. During 9/11, my office looked out on the north tower of the WTC asnd we witnessed only a few hundred yards away, our fellow citizens jumping to their deaths. Tears began rolling down my face, as it brought back to me what happened, and our abysmal response, especially when compared with our response 12/7 60 years earlier.

I like the album, but I can't say Worley's voice grabs me particularly. I admire him for putting out a patriotic song for this war against Islamic jihadist terrorism - I wish more artists would do so.

No, I have not 1 Star Review
2007-09-25 - While im proud to live in America, im not proud of 9/11. It took everyone by surprise and made lots of people money. Think of all the people selling 9/11 bumper stickers and shirts. Does the money actully go to chairty or pocket? Then think of all the country acts that make songs about how tragic this accident was and make millions on it. Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Darryl Worley are just a few names who all cashed in on 9/11. I love America but im not going write a song about it or buy a bumper sticker that says 9/11 on it.

Have you forgotten? 5 Star Review
2007-05-09 - This CD is awesome with that title song. That song makes you think back to the day NY was hit and all those people died. Also makes you angry just a little bit to hear we haven't fixed any the leaks, they are still coming in to blend in.

Time to actually know something 1 Star Review
2007-04-21 - From a 2007 point of view one could conclude 3400+ soldiers have died for nothing behind the thinking glorified in this album. It was pitiful then and criminal now. If you are upset with the prior two sentences please read "Fiasco" Thomas Ricks and "Imperial life in the Emerald City" Rajiv Chandrasekaran, then look at yourself in the mirror.
