Editorial Review:
History was made on June 7, 2008, as Dave Matthews Band became the first artist to perform a concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO. DMB rocked the Major League stadium that night, performing in center field in front of close to 35,000 fans.Highlights of the show include 'Pay For What You Ge' and the rarity 'Recently / Water into Wine' jam which had not been played in over ten years. Other songs of note include a superb performance of 'Crush' and covers of Neil Young's 'Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)' and Sly and the Family Stone's 'Thank You (Falletin Me Be Mice Elf Again)'! All DMB albums were represented at the Busch Stadium show plus Dave Matthews' Some Devil release!

DMB Live Trax Vol. 13 6/7/08 Busch Stadium St. Louis Reviews:
good cd 4 Star Review
2009-11-02 - good product, standard CD. I am not a dmb fan but I know my girlfriend was all about it.

4 stars if you were there (3.5 stars for the rest of us) 4 Star Review
2009-04-05 - Dave Matthews Band has released dozens of live albums, some official, others unofficial, and yet others that fall somewhere in between, such as this one in the on-going "Live Trax" series. In the last 4-5 years it seems that DMB is doing at least one "out of the ordinary" show: Central Park in NY, the Gorge in Washington, Fenway Park in Boston, Wrigley Field in Chicago, and so on. Last summer DMB was the first rock band to perform at the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis, and of course that needs to be commemorated with a CD release.

"Live Trax Vo. 13: 6-7-08, Bush Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri" (19 tracks; 152 min.) starts off with a genuinly great "Two Step". Other highlights on CD1 include "Cornbread", "One Sweet World" and the hard-charging "Don't Drink the Water" (is that song really more than 10 years old already?), which closes CD1. CD2 kicks off with the great Neil Young cover "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)", featuring the late Leroi Moore on sax at the beginning of the song. Other highlights include "Recently->Water Into Wine" (rarely played these days), the always popular "Tripping Billies", as is "Everyday" (my all-time favorite DMB song). Please note that to date, this is the last live abum to feature the late Leroi Moore. This is a nice live set from DMB, and if you were actually there, I can easily see why you'd want to buy this.

Attending a DMB show has become a yearly summer ritual for hundred of thousands of music fans across the country. Not unlike, say, Jimmy Buffett for the older generation. I think this year will mark my 11th or 12th year in a row that I will catch DMB at Riverbend (in June), and I'm already looking forward to it.

It's almost like being there.. 5 Star Review
2009-03-23 - I was at this concert, so I can say with authority that the CD is almost like being there.

If you've never been to a Dave Matthews concert, do it if you can. If not, buy this. It gives you a look at the personality of Dave and the band members. It's easy to see that they are having a great time! The music is superb. I love their version of the old Sly Stone song, "Thankyou falletin me be mice elf again".

It was a great time being there and and again every time I listed to this CD.

dmb live trax 5 Star Review
2009-01-02 - this cd is a definite "KEEPER"! HE IS SO VERSATILE. THE NEIL YOUNG SONG "HEY,HEY" IS PERFORMED AS WELL AS THE MAN HIMSELF. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME BE MYSELF IS ALSO A FINE ALTERNATIVE TO THE ORIGINAL. A TRULY AWESOME CD. IT WAS A GIFT FROM OUR DAUGHTER. DOES SHE KNOW OUR HEART?

Not as good as a couple of their other live releases, but worth picking up... 4 Star Review
2008-12-17 - I was at this concert. It was my third time seeing Dave Matthews Band live, but the first show I've been to that was released on CD. One thing I can definitely say is that listening to the concert on CD does not do it justice when you compare it to actually being there, but I guess that applies to any artist. That being said, it's not quite as good (in my opinion) as Live in Chicago at the United Center or the Central Park Concert, but still worth owning if you're a fan of the band. It begins with an energetic rendition of Two Step that gets things off to a running start. Other highlights include Cornbread, #27 (I Hope You'll Be By Me Then), Tripping Billies (Nature Intro), and a finale of Thank You (Falletin Me Be Mice Elf Agin), a funk classic first made famous by Sly and the Family Stone. Dave & co do it justice. It's also worth noting that this may be the final live release featuring the late LeRoi Moore, as this concert took place about three weeks before the ATV accident that would eventually take his life.
