Chris Kattan (A NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY, TV's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), Peter Falk (TV's COLUMBO), Peter Berg (COP LAND, TV's CHICAGO HOPE), and Chris Penn (RUSH HOUR) star in this hilarious, fish-out-of-water comedy caper from two of the producers of THE WATERBOY. Naive, bumbling Corky Romano (Kattan), the outcast son of a Mafia boss (Falk), is recruited by his family to infiltrate the FBI and steal any and all evidence that will put his cranky father in jail. But he's in way over his head when he's made out to be a super agent! It's a reputation he must live up to as he tries to fake his way through one tough assignment after another while hunting for the elusive incriminating proof of his father's illegal activities.

    Description of Corky Romano:
The setup is promising: The Romano mob family know that they're being betrayed by a hidden FBI informant in their ranks, so they decide to send a family member under cover to destroy the evidence against them--but the only family member the FBI won't recognize is the family black sheep, Corky (Chris Kattan), a touchy-feely aspiring veterinarian. But once Corky goes undercover, his klutzy ways accidentally make him the star of the FBI, sparking envy from his fellow agents and arousing suspicion in the mob. Though the script of Corky Romano declines as the movie goes on, Kattan actually keeps the picture going; his spastic, sniveling, childish energy is engaging, and at its best the production bubbles over with silliness. It only falls flat when Kattan has to behave in a remotely adult manner, which fortunately doesn't happen very often. Cheerful dopiness. Featuring Peter Falk, Peter Berg, and Chris Penn as mobsters. --Bret Fetzer

    Corky Romano Reviews:
Better than I expected 4 Star Review
2009-05-14 - Look, I heard the negative reviews about this movie and was skeptical about seeing it but Im glad I caved in and finally saw it because it was actually funny. Chris Kattan is a funny guy and should have gave him the benefit of the doubt that he could have made this movie work.

Corky Romano is a pet store owner(Chris Kattan) is sent to retrieve papers from the police office that could get his father "Pops"(played by Peter Falk)indicted. He is mistaken for an FBI agent and is asked to be their go-to-guy and his quest to retrieve the evidence becomes more difficult.

Chris Kattan naturally gets all the laughs as the dopey but likable Corky. Outside of him you might get some laughs from Peter Falk and Richard Roundtree who plays a chief that really believes that Corky is a great FBI agent even though his ineptness shows. The scene where Corky gets a face full of coke and has to do a speech after wards is too funny for words. I had to take off a star because some of the jokes fall flat like the constant reminder that Paulie is gay or that Peter cant read but other than that this movie had me laughing most of the time.

Corky Romano is a funny comedy that needs to be given a chance. Dont let the negative reviews dissuade you. Take it upon yourself to find out if its good or not.

    awsome 5 Star Review

2009-04-09 - I laughed a good way through this movie. Between the outfits and lies he got caught up in it's just a cute comedy movie to watch.

this is a gift.... 5 Star Review
2009-02-22 - I am sure she will love it, she's been looking for it for a while.

    FANTASTIC 5 Star Review
2009-01-18 - I'm a mature adult, but feel and act like a kid while viewing or remembering this movie. I probably have used the line "it's...uh..uh....French" about 100 times (in everyday conversation!)

THANK YOU, Chris Kattan, for this wonderful comedy filled with child-like (a good thing) energy and humor.
