Editorial Review:
SLICES is a Anthology horror movie in the vein of such films as THE TWILIGHT ZONE or the CREEPSHOW series five different stories, five different styles with a wrap around that ties all of them together. The cast includes Trent (GIMME SKELTER) Haaga, Chuck (BUBBA HO-TEP) Williams, David C. (MACHINED) Hayes and Death Metal Hall of Famer Matt Olivo of Repulsion; the makeup FX were created by Rich Knight (The Omen, X-Men: The Last Stand) and Larry S. Carr (Friday the 13th) and Al Cortez. DVD Special Features: Behind-the-scenes, Music Video, The making of Slices, Still Gallery
Slices Reviews:
This is a lousy movie!
2009-12-12 - Whoever the previous reviewers are they must have some stake in this film. It is a no budget disaster. After watching the first and part of the second sections of the movie (of five), I gave up and threw it in the trash. About the only reason someone might like it is for the gratuitous violence, and that was poorly done. The segments I saw were hackneyed, plot-less wonders. Don't waste your money. I wish that I hadn't, but I was misled by the "reviews" to think it might be worthwhile. It isn't!
Love the Western Slice
2009-09-22 - Nicely put together. Super Indie horror film. Great camera quality with well-written scripts. You can't go wrong here if you dig the horror flicks. A must see!
Great Indie Horror Compilation With Chuck Williams & Trent Haaga
2009-06-29 - I was lucky enough to see this film a couple of months ago at a convention/film festival in San Diego and was really impressed. This is a collection of 5 short horror stories with a wraparound with Trent Haaga(Suburban Nightmare). It also includes Chuck Williams(Bubba Ho-Tep) who i am also a big fan of also! What i liked the most was the fact that all of the stories had their own unique feel, due to the fact that they all had different directors, which is really cool, and you can tell that the filmmakers really cared about the quality of the stories and the film as a whole. It looks to be shot on HD and it really looked great. I give it a 5 based on all of these elements which i find to be rare in the indie horror realm!!
