The biography of five boys from Sheffield who became Def Leppard. The band have stayed together through all the disasters that have occurred. They lost their first guitarist to alcoholism. Next, their drummer lost his arm in a car crash, and took four years to learn how to play one-handedly. Then guitarist Steve Clarke died of a drink and drug overdose in 1991, after which the group kept a low profile. Def Leppard reappeared at the Freddie Mercury concert at Wembley, gleaned a multi-platinum CD in "Adrenalize" and finished their 1994 tour with a huge open air show at the Don Valley Stadium in their home town of Sheffield. "Biographize" traces Def Leppard's story from their formation in the late 1970's to their current status as a best-selling band.

2000-06-09 - Def Leppard is by far one of the greatest bands in rock 'n' roll history. This book depicts their "road to fame" and does so very nicely. If you don't have this book already, I suggest you go and buy it NOW.

detailed, informative, interesting and just plain awesome
1999-09-28 - This book covers all the important events in the Leps career as well as how they were influence by other musicians. In essence it is a must have for anypne who wants to learn about music. I bought it because the Leps music is unique and so real.
