Editorial Review:
Inspector Clouseau, the lovable buffoon with a knack for mispronunciation, is MIA! The terrificallytalented Peter Sellers "induces gales of tonic laughter" (The Hollywood Reporter) in this wild adventure co-starring the full Panther ensemble cast, including David Niven, Herbert Lom, Burt Kwouk andCapucine, along with newcomers Joanna Lumley, Richard Mulligan and Harvey Korman. The Pink Pantherdiamond goes missing - and then en route to the scene of the crime, Clouseau's plane goes missing! A sleuthing reporter (Lumley) is assigned to memorialize the fabled detective, but in the process, she comes up against some strange behavior from a delirious Dreyfus (Lom) as well as Clouseau's duplicitous ex-wife (Capucine), his lusty father (Mulligan) and The Phantom (Niven)!
Trail of the Pink Panther Reviews:
in memory of peter sellers
2009-09-01 - this is a compilation of all the pink panther movies as a reporter goes around asking clouseau's friends/enemies things about him. all the footage of peter sellers is from previous movies. it is basically a tribute to peter sellers movie, if your expecting a "new" peter sellers movie you will be very disapointed. overall it wasnt horrible movie, thus i gave it 2 stars, but it is not a movie you would want to watch over and over like all the rest of peter seller's movies.
hope this helps.
A Desperate Attempt To Keep The Series Going After Sellers'Death
2009-04-03 - This film is A desperate attempt,to keep the series going after Sellers'death.Director Blake Edwards took cutting room floor footage from earlier"Panther"films, and added A new plot about Clouseau's possible disappearance. Some of the cutting room footage with Sellers is funny, but ultimately this film is A waste.Save your money, and don't waste your time.
Trail of the Pink Panther
2008-12-21 - Unbelievable how fast this was shipped out to us and was just as it was described by the seller. Would recommend future purchases from this seller for sure!! Thank You!!
Cool!
2006-11-19 - Although some people think that this is hurting Peter Sellers' memory, it is still pretty good. The first half of the film is made up of unused footage from The Pink Panther Strikes Again. The second half is a reporter named Marie Jouvet talking to people that Clouseau has come into contact with. That includes Hercule Lajoy from A Shot In The Dark, Cato from multiple movies, Clouseau's father, and Sir Charles Lytton from the original Pink Panther film. This isn't my favorite Pink Panther film, though. The Pink Panther Strikes Again is my favorite out of all the ones that I've seen. Iv'e seen The Pink Panther, A Shot In The Dark, Inspector Clouseau, The Return Of The Pink Panther, The Pink Panther Strikes Again, Revenge Of The Pink Panther, this one, and The Pink Panther {2006}. This film has a great cast. Peter Sellers as Cheif Inspector Jacques Clouseau {archive footage}, David Niven as Sir Charles Lytton, Herbert Lom as Dreyfus, Richard Mulligan as Clouseau's lusty father, Joanna Lumley as Marie Jouvet, Capucine as Lady Lytton, Robert Loggia as Bruno Langois, Harvey Korman as Auguste Balls, Burt Kwouk as Cato Fong, and Graham Stark as Hercule Lajoy. I'm only going to say one part from the film. At the beginning of the opening credits, it says, "To Peter, the one and only Inspector Clouseau." That was my review.

[Two stars out of Four] Average, but still funny. Niven's last film...
2006-08-08 - R.I.P. David Niven, you were a gentleman.
As for Lom and Sellers they are both get-
ting long in the tooth for these type of
roles. Sellers would try one more time,
but a fatal heart attack would finish
him off in 'The Search for Clouseau'
starring Ted Wass, which would turn out
to be Lom's last film. Followed by an
awful Steve Martin remake in 2005 (*)
w/ Beyonce Knowles of Destiny's Child!
