Editorial Review:
In this visually stunning sci-fi adventure, two warriors engaged in a savage, futuristic war between Earth and the planet Dracon. Crash-land on a desolate, fiery planet. At first, the human, (Dennis Quaid) and his reptilian, alien opponent (Louis Gossett, JR) are intent on destroying each other, the two stranded pilots gradually realize that the only way either of them will survive is to overcome their undying hatred.
Enemy Mine Reviews:
enemy mine
2008-12-25 - I love this movie which has dennis quaid in. It's a reminder to everybody that we can get along.
Great movie depicting discrimination and slavery
2008-08-22 - At its heart Enemy Mine is a movie describing slavery and war. It describes how we see those who look different as someone we cannot get along with. This is one of those movies I saw years ago and fell in love with. Over time it continues to come to mind in different ways, with the hut the human built (and quickly fell down), the interactions between the Drak and the Humans as well as the violence taking place by slave masters against the slaves.
While the special effects aren't going to win any awards, they were very good for their time. The acting is good, and the story is very engaging. Definitely worth picking up, though probably when you can get it on sale.
