Editorial Review:
Settle back for a delightful INDIAN SUMMER -- the heartwarming comedy about eight friends who reunite at their summer camp after 20 years! Starring an impressive ensemble cast including Elizabeth Perkins (CATS AND DOGS, 28 DAYS) and Alan Arkin (AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS, GROSSE POINTE BLANK), no sooner do the visitors arrive than they return to the best summer of their lives -- practical jokes, midnight kitchen raids, boat races, campfire stories, and secret romances pick up right where they left off! And with so much hilarity and excitement, the fun never stops. Pack your gear, this week at camp is sure to be a hilarious, feel-good treat for everyone.
Indian Summer Reviews:
image quality
2009-09-11 - Though the movie itself was good, the quality was so poor, the DVD was noteven to the VHS tapes quality standard
Fond reminiscences
2009-09-07 - This movie brings to life nostalgic memories of the eight summers which I spent in youth camps in northern Ontario. The cabins, the dining hall, the docks, the lake, the beautiful scenery, the awesome camp director with human failings, and the cross-section of kids who are now bigger but still much the same, all rang true for me. By having the grown-up kids repeat some of the activities and disciplines from when they were young campers, the camp director rekindles the things which the kids liked and disliked about being at the camp so that when the camp director's purpose in bringing them back together becomes clear, the campers can make knowledgable and heart-felt decisions. This is a movie which I will probably watch every few months to help rekindle those fond reminiscences.
Loved this movie.
2009-07-30 - I rented this movie a few weeks ago when I was having a bad week and this movie was just what I needed, funny and light hearted. I had to buy it.
A Heartwarming Movie!
2008-12-16 - This movie brought back childhood camp memories that I experienced in North Carolina. I loved it!
Growing up and learning
2008-11-29 - A movie about growing up and realizing what is important and what is not in our adult lives.
