2008-03-11 - I found this CD very enjoyable. It brought back a lot of warm childhood memories. No one sings quite like Dolly. There were a few songs I was unfamiliar with, but all in all I loved the CD as did my child. We were both toe tapping and trying to sing along.
The greatest hits 
2008-01-15 - These are the greatest hits of Dolly, which together with those on Vol. 2 represent her most commercially successful songs. It includes catchy pop like Love's Like A Butterfly and 9 to 5 from the movie of the same name, flowing ballads like the duet with Kenny Rogers, traditional country ballads like My Tennessee Mountain Home and Silver Threads And Golden Needles with Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette, exquisite vocal pop like To Know Him Is To love Him with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt, the moving autobiographical story song Coat of Many Colors and passionate country numbers like Jolene and Baby I'm Burning. This is an excellent introduction to the music of one of the most delightful of all female country singers but for longtime fans, the real gems are found on albums like Coat of Many Colors, The Essential Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner & Dolly Parton - 20 Greatest Hits, and on Little Sparrow and The Grass Is Blue.
It IS the very best
2008-01-07 - I'd bought this album for my 10 year old nephew (part of the next generation of Dolly fans), and listening to it with him made me fall in love with Dolly's music all over again. So I went out and got a copy for myself. I can't recommend this CD enough---get both Volume 1 and 2; you can't have enough Dolly, especially at this quality of recording.
Fantastic songs by a great entertainer
2008-01-07 - I bought this CD for my daughter, but I had forgotten just what a beautiful voice Dolly Parton has and how good some of her songs were and still are. Everyone in my home enjoys this CD and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to hear Dolly's best known songs.
