Editorial Review:
This album includes some of Dudley Moore's best-love jazz performances, recorded live in England and Australia by The Dudley Moore Trio--Dudley Moore, piano; Peter Morgan, bass and Chris Karan, drums. The performances on this CD were among Dudley's favorites. Dudley was President and co-founder Martine Avenue Productions, Inc., a company he created to bring his works to the public. Martine is proud to continue this work in Dudley's memory. Proceeds from the sale of this CD will go toward two charities that were important to Dudley--Music For All Seasons, taking live music into facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes and shelters for children and victims of domestic violence; and the Dudley Moore Research Fund for PSP, searching for a cure for the disease from which he died in March of 2002.
Jazz Jubilee Reviews:
hard swinging, happy piano!
2008-04-19 - Mr. Jackson was mistaken to give this cd only one star.
His review is okay and gives me the idea he wanted to give this one five stars.
So let me correct this, because Jazz Jubilee and the other cd's of Dudley in the same series are very fine, hard swinging an happy cd's every jazzlover should have.
For those who knew Dudley only as an actor: you're in for a big surprise!
Arnold van Kampen, jazzcritic, the Netherlands.
Happy Jack
2008-02-13 - Dudley Moore as ever a master at the piano.
The cd is a must for anyone loving jazz that Dudley plays, his death was the greatest loss to jazz music you will ever remember.
