Very solid Dwight, some great cover songs 
2007-06-21 - I love most of Dwight Yoakum's music. I think he had one of the most original sounds in country in the last generation. He has a great combination of hillbilly country and very exciting innovative rock.
I would not call this his best album, but it is very good. Probably its best feature is a number of good covers. He does a version of "Long White Cadilliac" that is better than the original, and I am a big Blaster's fan. The stand out on the album, though, is his incredible cover of Elvis Presley's "Suspcious Minds." He also does a very competent cover of "Truckin", but, maybe its just me, but the music of the Grateful Dead is not aging very well; it does not do much for me any more.
