Editorial Review:
ON BROADWAY is about how laughter helps us deal with loss. It's about the ties of family and the warmth of Boston's neighborhoods. It's about a young man with visions, and the guts to go for it. It's about the refusal to bow to adversity. It's about a father and son, and breaking down the wall that divides them. It's about life.
Jack and Kate O'Toole, just married, their future lies in front of them. Then Jack's godfather falls from a roof and dies.
At the wake, Jack hears the dead man's voice telling him to write a play. When nobody else will produce the play, Jack quits his job to produce it himself. With no money and just his gut to guide him, Jack mounts the play on the only stage he can afford: in the back room of a local pub...on a neighborhood street called Broadway.

On Broadway Reviews:
On Broadway
2009-11-02 - If you are a Joey McIntyre fan or a New Kids on the Block fan, this movie is a must. Even if you didn't like the band, this movie is still a must. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll wish it never ended.
A Sweet Little Film
2009-04-07 - Who could resist a New Kid on The Block...and an Eliza Dushku Not trying to Slay things...nice little film about chasing your dreams...and finding the not so Movie Star kind of Love...Well worth a watch.
Did I mention the Dush?
On broadway should be..ON Broadway!
2009-03-21 - I saw the movie last week. i laughed, i cried, i laughed, i cried. I loved it. Irish or not, a must see!
great movie
2009-02-12 - I had no expectations for this film other than a recommendation to see it -- It was great! Very fun. Some great performances throughout but I particularly liked Lucas Caleb Rooney. He kind of stole the show for me with a goofy, down to earth, believable character.
Nice film with a good story line and cast.
great cast, great story, great movie...
2009-02-05 - what more is there to say? i loved this movie and it's down home, but theatrical, feeling. the cast was perfect, especially augie. if you're the type of person who has no life and takes movies WAY too seriously, then you probably won't like it. but, if you wanna feel good, laugh (cry, but only a little) and enjoy yourself for an hour or so, then this is the movie for you. kudos to joe, robert, will and cast!
