Editorial Review:
Alicia Witt (URBAN LEGENDS), Brooke Langton (THE REPLACEMENTS), Ivan Sergei (THE OPPOSITE OF SEX), and Johnny Galecki (BOUNCE) star in one sexy screwball comedy you'll really embrace. Claire Goldstein (Witt) has everything going for her -- the promise of fame, a great boyfriend with marriage on his mind, and an apartment of her own. And then reality shakes her entire world to pieces. Her moment of glory is snatched from her before it begins, her boyfriend drops her, and she's evicted. Condemned to find refuge at her crazy parents' house while her sister is blissfully planning her own wedding, Claire starts looking for love in all the wrong places. Filled with quirky characters, "I've-been-there" smiles, and witty dialogue, PLAYING MONA LISA is a delightful work of heart.

Playing Mona Lisa Review
2009-02-15 - I saw this movie a few years ago on one of my cable channels while I was lounging around my home. It has one of my favorite actresses in it, Alicia Witt, and she's actually playing the piano, which is has studied for years, in the movie. It's real quirky and interesting and funny to watch when you're in the mood to just watch movies and feel better about yourself.
Another Great Movie
2007-06-27 - This is one of those movies you see advertised before the movie you just rented! But it is worth watching! This movie makes you laugh and you can relate to it! A great storyline that can be enjoyed by families (of adolesants) and college kids in their dorms!! Great movie!! Hands down worth your time money and the effort it takes to point and click BUY!
ALICIA WITT Knocks It Out Of The Field
2005-07-21 - I agree, this isn't the best movie ever made, but Alicia Witt carries this movie from start to finish. The whole idea of Harvey Fierstein being her mentor really works for me & she owns the role of Claire Goldstein. And with Elliott Gould & Marlo Thomas as your parents, what more could you ask for? It hits all the right notes.
Play it again
2005-05-20 - This is a good movie. It's not great but sometimes life is like that too. Not all neat and clean but more like something one lives through. I think it's a good story of what happens when you're in love, the other person moves on and you're not ready to let go. If you've never felt that you probably won't get this movie.
