Editorial Review:
When a B-29 bomber strays from its course, its crew -- high-living pilot Noah Dugan (Elliott Gould), a prim missionary (Geneviève Bujold), her cargo of farm animals, and two stowaway orphans -- must make an emergency landing on an unmapped island in the South Pacific. In order to survive, the foursome, along with two unexpected allies, convert the downed plane into the oddest sea-going vessel ever and then set sail -- animals and all -- on a perilous search for civilization in this Disney adventure for the whole family.
The Last Flight of Noah's Ark Reviews:
'Last Flight' a sleeper worth seeing
2009-04-30 - This is a great movie. My sons watched it (lots!) when they were younger. I've never heard anything about this movie (either before, or since we watched it years ago) I was really excited to find it on DVD so my grandkids could watch it. My grown son also wants to watch it again. A great family movie!
The Last Flight Of Noahs Ark
2008-04-06 - Even though the acting isnt that great from the main stars of the movie I still enjoyed watching this movie very much brings back memories from when I was a kid. For the price of 17.99 its not a bad addition to anyones collection.
Another Disney Classic!
2007-02-28 - This is your average Disney movie, (clean, decent, enjoyable, and good entertainment for the whole family.) I have always enjoyed these old Disney movies, like Swiss Family Robinson, Cat from Outer Space, Apple Dumpling Gang Herbie, etc., and this is one of the many Disney Classics.
Worst Theme Song Ever!
2006-05-28 - This movie had a lot of potential. It could have been a fun adventure, but someone really blew it! The most obvious and glaring problem with this movie is the ridiculously poor theme song. I've heard a lot of annoying theme songs, but this one is so bad that I just can't fathom how anyone could have allowed it in the movie. The other main flaw has to do with casting. The actors playing the kids do a good job and the actors playing the Japanese soldiers do a good job, but the two leads just don't cut it. It may be poor acting, bad script writing, or bad directing, but something just doesn't click when the two lead actors engage in any kind of dialogue. Every word they say comes across as awkward and unnatural. All that being said, the kids and the actors playing the Japanese soldiers do come through with strong performances, it's just too bad that the two leads couldn't support their efforts a little more. Actually, the director should have just focused more on the kids and left the adults in the background. This movie really deserves to be remade (or if there is enough extra footage, re-edited!). It was a great idea that just wasn't executed to its full potential!
Great Family Movie
2006-03-24 - There are a number of new movies that are great for a family - but this is an old and timeless classic! Great movie!
