This is the first attempt to consolidate all of Sir Elton's hit singles, from three labels, in one collection. It once would've required at least four CDs to own the best stuff here. Many think the legendary performer was at his best in the early to mid-'70s, and the incredible string of singles that ran from 1970's "Your Song" through 1977's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" remains mighty impressive. But in retrospect, as they're presented here, '80s hits like "I'm Still Standing" and "Sad Songs" add much to an already amazing legacy. Three Disney tunes, the lush "The One," and two from Songs from the West Coast, which was hailed as a return to those '70s golden days, represent the later years. Collectively, these tracks reinforce the notion that, despite Michael Jackson's later proclamations, John was once the closest thing post-'60s music had to a genuine king of pop, respected by hipsters and the mainstream alike. --Bill Holdship

Elton John - Hits no Misses 
2008-09-18 - Like the title says Elton John always sings a good song. I can't think of any song that he has sung that has been a dud. He is one of a kind and truly a genius of his time. He sings with great passion and his music is good to listen to when you are feeling up or down. Don't get me wrong, he is not my favourite musican but one that always comes up with a hit. Greatest hits album? Why not take it through to 2008 because the hits just keep coming. Knowing what songs is on the CD helped me want to buy it because each one holds a special place in my heart for different reasons. This CD will be in my collection forever because a legend is a legend. Want to know more about this CD or Elton John, then buy it! You will find out what I am talking about and you will be playing it over and over again.

The CD I had purchased via your web site turned out to be great failure.
The reason is that even there are two disks in the album with different labels, both CD ARE THE SAME.
