Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) Reviews:
A genuine classic 5 Star Review
2009-06-04 - If you were to own one EJ album this would be it. The songs on GYBR display the brilliant songwriting shown on the albums leading up to it, but with a fresh kick in the pants energy that places it firmly at the forefront of 70s pop rock.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) 5 Star Review
2009-05-28 - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) being Elton John's 7th studio album and his 1973 release is considered by many his magnum opus and I agree with them. This is for Elton John what Autobahn is for Kraftwerk. The album received great reviews and I totally concur with them on this assessment. The album itself did exceedingly well and peaked the Billboard 200 at #1 and also reached #1 in Australia and The UK. Singles released on this album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", "Saturdays Night's Alright for Fighting", "Bennie and the Jets" and "Candle in the Wind". We also get some bonus tracks plus a CD with the making of the CD. The booklet is quite extensive with all the lyrics and a list of whom plays what for each track. 5/5.

Won't Play 1 Star Review
2009-04-11 - Brand new out of the box wouldn't play on my Sony DVP-S9000ES SACD player. The track side of the discs has a gold color which may be why my player shows a dirty disc error. Confirmed conflict with player, just ripped it on my computer, sounds great! Planning on a new OPPO BDP-83 UniversalGoodbye Yellow Brick Road (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) Player, hope I don't have a problem there.

Goodbye yellow brick road + SACD 5.1 = enjoyment 5 Star Review
2008-12-24 - Well Worth it if you like to heard good sound. If you have a SACD player/5.1 channel system, you will LOVE this recording. I am not reviewing the content per se, if you have ever heard Goodbye yellow brick road, then you already like the album or not, I bought this for my wife, but it is so good its one of my favorite SACDs, especially benny and the jets. For those who complain about 5.1 mixes, and how they differ from the original stereo LP, hey, if you see a group live, alot of times they don't play songs the same anyway, so if it seems too different from the original, chalk it up to artistic interpetation, the original artists probably approved or arranged the new 5.1 mixes anyway. For me, once i heard SACDs in 5.1, there is no going back! The only way to listen to SACDs is with the proper setup, The Playstation 3 will play them if you get the proper receiver, one that decodes LPCM thru the HDMI cable, see [...] for receivers that work, otherwise, get a SACD stand alone player and a 5.1 receiver/amp, see ebay, and ENJOY!!!!

One of the best rock alums ever. 5 Star Review
2008-05-06 - As the title says, this is one of the best rock albums ever. It's up there with Physical Graphitti, Dark Side of the Moon, Boston, etc. Highly recommended for the classic rock fan.
