Editorial Review:
Japanese-only SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) paper sleeve pressing of this classic album from the British singer/songwriter and entertainer, originally released in 1975. SHM-CDs can be played on any audio player and delivers unbelievably high-quality sound. You won't believe it's the same CD! Universal. 2008.
Rock of the Westies Reviews:
Incredible album!
2008-11-05 - I think the other reviewer is crazy, this is one of the top ten Elton albums ever made. The songs rock a lot more than previous efforts and very refreshing. I highly recommend this album.
Elton's worst album of the '70's
2005-03-07 - Now, bear in mind I'm a huge Elton fan and have been since I discovered Honky Chateau as a kid. I won't "bash" the album, and those who like it are welcome to it. It's the only EJ album I never upgraded from vinyl. The first time (of about 15) that I saw EJ was his tour in '76 in support of this album. Thankfully he played little of it. To me, this is the type of material that is produced when an artist thinks they can do no wrong. Luckily, Elton's soon-after stardom crash and long road back to the limelight taught him something.
Again, no offense to any who like the album, but I just can't think of a single song on it that I care for.
