  • Editorial Review:
Nonstop laughs are back in the house with this super-sized sequel that's wilder, funnier, and filled with even more outrageous new adventures! Martin Lawrence and Nia Long return in a heavyweight hit comedy that's loads of fun for the whole family!

In the interest of national security, FBI agent Malcolm Turner (Lawrence) goes back undercover as Big Momma?a slick-talking, slam-dunking Southern granny with attitude to spare! Now this granny must play nanny to three demanding kids to complete his most outrageous assignment ever!

Description of Big Momma's House 2:
Funnyman Martin Lawrence steps back into the latex fatsuit for Big Momma's House 2, the sequel to one of Lawrence's biggest hits. Malcolm Turner (Lawrence, Bad Boys, Rebound) goes undercover, turning his Big Momma disguise into a nanny for a computer company executive who may be concocting a means to hack into military databases. But that's just a pretense to get Big Momma coping with a perfectionist mom and her three kids, who are all dysfunctional in cute and easily resolved ways. Naturally, Big Momma dispenses life lessons and catches the crooks while Lawrence does his best to milk his fat drag act for cheap laughs. Unfortunately, those cheap laughs never quite pay off; the script is a wastebasket of cliches and clumsy set-ups for gags that never seem worth the effort. The movie desperately wants to appeal to women with cute kids while luring men with a spa visit featuring scantily clad Victoria's Secret models. Even Lawrence's fans will find themselves snoozing through this one. --Bret Fetzer

    Big Momma's House 2 Reviews:
Plays Like New 5 Star Review
2009-07-12 - This movie plays just as good as a brand new movie. Very good price for it.

Big Momma is Back & Better Than Ever!!! 4 Star Review
2009-06-09 - This is a very funny sequel! Martin Lawrence is back, doing what he does best! 6 years after the original, Malcolm Turner has married Sherri, and has become a family man. He is still at the F.B.I. but he is working behind a desk. He soon finds out that his original partner has been killed. He overhears that a man named Tom Fuller may be involved in creating a virus that will create back doors into data stored on FBI computers. Malcolm decides to go back undercover as Big Momma and be a nanny to Mr. Fuller's kids. They all get into some pretty hilarious situations, including hanging out on the beach, teaching cheerleading, and going to a spa. I highly recommend BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE 2!!!

Another unnecessary sequel 1 Star Review
2009-03-18 - I liked the original Big Momma House. Its was silly at times but it was funny as well as fun and I enjoyed myself watching it. This sequel lacks everything that made the first one great. Big Momma's House 2 is easily the most boring comedy sequel of all time. I found myself checking the time every five minutes and 1 hour and 39 minutes have never felt so long.

The plot is pretty weak plus it shows no reason for Malcolm to be "Big Momma. At least the first one gave you a semi-believable reason for Malcolm going undercover as Big Momma. But this sequel is too lazy to give you a slightly believable one.

Martin looks like he's bored out of his skull and pretty much sleepwalks through the whole movie. The rest of the cast does the same. The villain in the first one(Terrance Howard's character) wasn't too shabby. The villains in this movie are pathetic. I don't think I laughed one time. I might have had a slight chuckle or two and maybe a silent grin but other than that I was pretty bored.

Big Momma's House 2 is one of the most unwanted sequels since Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps. It was only made out of greed to capitalize of fans of the first one but the only people that would like this movie are the are the Dawson's Creek audience. This movie is weak, banal and utterly soulless. Totally devoid of anything that made the original interesting and amusing. Only recommended to those that still find Bob Saget funny.

PS: you weirdos and pseudo rights activists need to quit trying to turn Amazon into your own pathetic political soapbox. The space says type reviews not silly rants you losers!

Big Momma's House 2 was hilarious 4 Star Review
2008-09-29 - The movie was great and it arrived in about three days (even though I chose standard shipping).

    Big Momma's House 2 4 Star Review
2008-09-16 - Came in excellent condition and before the promised delivery date. My older kids liked the movie.
