Editorial Review:
Any lingering doubts as to the depth of Eminem's skills or his potential for raw yet compelling honesty are dispelled on The Eminem Show's first track. Armed with a quicksilver flow and a thundering rhythm track (the record was exec produced by longtime mentor and partner Dr. Dre), "White America" finds Eminem ferociously mauling the hand that feeds him, lambasting his critics, the industry, and the racism that, in many ways, helped make Marshall Mathers more than just another rapper. "Let's do the math," Em sneers, "If I was black I would have sold half/ I could be one of your kids/ Little Eric looks just like this." After the bombast of The Marshall Mathers LP and Eminem's well-noted use of sexual epithets, this kind of material is made more controversial because it actually rings true. From a brutal retort to his long-estranged and equally troubled mother ("Cleaning Out My Closets") to a surprisingly tender ode to his child ("Hailie's Song"), Eminem examines his life, loves, arrests, addictions, failures, and successes with surprising insight, making this a funk-drenched hip-hop confessional well worth the hype. --Amy Linden
The Eminem Show (Clean) [Edited Version] Reviews:
WORTH BUYING LIKE THE LAST 1.
2009-11-23 - I know everyone says the Marshall Mathers LP is the best Eminem album to date I tend to defer. Reason why he seems to have more story depth in his lyrics on this album. Because, of his rap superstardom, personal life, and legal troubles on this album than the Marshall Mathers LP album. Instead of talking about drugs, pistols, fags, his mom and, killing people. Em has tracks like "White America" Em raises the curtain to his Eminem show album with vengeance talking about the government and his rise and power to raps mountain top. "Sing For The Moment" and, "Say Goodbye Hollywood" take Marshall raps to a other plateau. Tracks I can listen to while working out, driving, chores, at work and playing Xbox cause of the endless energy Em brings to the mic. All of Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit production is A+ and the beats on this album go perfect with Em's lyrical content.
"Business" Marshall comes in on this track like a missed superhero here to save hip hop from watered down garbage mcees. "Square Dance" is one of my favorite songs on the album Em's flow is second to none other. "Soldier" I know this track carries alot of weight my friend was in the United States Marine Core said this was a favorite in there platoon in Iraq 2002. "Drips" featuring Obie Trice raps about catching STD's from dirty sanks. "Without Me" How boring the rap game is without Eminem involved talking shis. "Superman" Em raps about relationships with some groupie fluzy's. "Hailie's Song" Em raps about life and his daughter im feeling it. "When The Music Stops" nice beat featuring some fresh verses by D-12. "Till I Collapse" has to be one of Em's best songs he rocks the mic featuring Nate Dogg on the hook. 7 and a half years later and im still playing it thanks Em.
This is the album with Serious Eminem
2009-09-25 - I liked this album because eminem raps seriously in this one. with songs like "sing for the moment", "Cleaning out my closet", "white america " and so many others could really tell that eminem is no longer playing games and demands respect. One of my favorite songs on the album is "soldier" because of the anger he puts into it. So what you waiting for go and order this album.

Better Editing in this album!!
2009-07-30 - I brought the edited and explicit version for all eminem albums; Slim Shady LP to Relapse. The editing is way better than the previous album since it removes every bad word including the word S*** (unlike the previous clean albums). So far the editing is good enough for kids to listen too even though I don't like the cat noises in it.
The Eminem Show is a must have 5 Star CD
2009-07-29 - Well to me this was when Eminem was at his best and to me this was his best CD. Its close because I will say Marshall Mathers LP, Slim Shady LP, and The Relapse. I feel this is Eminem's best CD because this was when I first started listening to Eminem and when I first heard this CD I could not put it down. I will start with highs on this CD and there a lot of them. Some of my favorite songs on this CD were When the music Stops, Solider and the intro to the song because it gets you hyped up, White America, Cleaning Out My Closet, Superman and surprisingly Without Me. I say surprisingly because usually with a commercial song they overplay it on the radio and you get sick of hearing it over and over but for some reason this song caught on to me. I always like Eminem's funny songs but I usually get sick of hearing them eventually but not this one. Even today I still listen to it if I can. The best song on this CD to me is Solider because of the intro as well. It is one of the most hardcore songs I have ever heard and in terms of song made by Eminem I would rank it number 2 behind lose yourself. Many people have already hard this song most likely but if you haven't it is a must hear and I guarantee you will like it. Cleaning Out my Closet was another single but I really didn't have a problem with it because lyrically this was one of Eminem's best songs. I was surprised this was released as a single because of the content but people caught onto this song and it really stuck. On this CD there really isn't a song that I dislike. There are songs that stick with me more than others but to me there are not god awful songs on this CD. Overall I will go with a strong recommendation to pick this CD up even for $20 dollars to me because I rank it up there in top 5 rap albums all time for me. Great CD.
