The Real Slim Shady Reviews:
The Real Slim Shady
2007-02-20 - I found my copy in a FYE store, brand new, and still in the original shrink wrap. I bought this CD for the song Bad Influence.
The Real Slim Shady 10/10
Bad Influence 9/10, would be 10/10 if not edited.
My Fault (Pizza Mix), 10/10, basically the same song only he has the special mushrooms on a slice of pizza.
Wonderful song
2003-05-16 - I loved this song when it first came out and it hasn't gotten old since. Dr. Dre's production is outstanding, the whiny synthesizer this song is built around is almost a hi-tech version of 90's G-Funk. It was good on my part for nostalgia's sake. Eminem's rhymes are clever and funny, and though half his verses are spent boasting he somehow makes it enjoyable. I remember, hearing it first on the radio around the time of the 200 Boston marathon (you guessed where I live) and the kids talking about it in school, they had all seen The MTV "Making the video" documentary on it and felt a bit behind. (In a day's span!) Needleess to say I eventually saw the video, it was set in a mental hospital with Tom Green Impressions. Classic
That's wicked
2003-02-23 - Hip Hop for the Charts. I'm sorry but that'S what it is. Some kind of cheezy but controversial enough to make evverybody think about it. I think that Eminem is a genius and I am not shocked if he disses somebody-even his mum. He's a mirror of the society-and a great rapper. .
This is another song in wich he makes fun of the american society and let me tell you that sometimes it looks like that from over here... "fg"
"Bad influence has its reasons why it didn't make it on the album but it's not bad. You just have to get used to the strange beat.
"My fault" is in my opinion the worst song on his first album. The lyrics are good but I just don't like it. It'S the album version here not a remix.
The instrumentalversion is not really useful because I don't think that we want to karaoke rap "g". But all in all it'S a good single.
GOOD
2000-12-23 - I never really liked rap music. But I like Eminem's style, especially in the Real Slim Shady. Lyrically, it's got profanity and many other things that little kids shouldn't be exposed to. But, I loved this song! Eminem can really get all those lyrics together to make them sound good--into a really good rap. Overall, The Real Slim Shady is ultimately a fun song to listen to. I don't think people should take it too seriously, lyric-wise and all. I actually think Eminem is brave to cross the line and speak the craziest parts of his mind (stuff that may be inacceptable to our society). Anyway, it's pretty good.
NOT Real Rap
2000-09-05 - Buy some real rap like snoop, dre, wu tang. Not this wannabe rap kinda poppy shit
