Grand Champion Reviews: Great Movie 2009-06-28 - This movie is a winner..If you are From Texas or any state that has stock shows this is a must see.This is a lovely movie for kids. For all you city kids I feel sure you can make a connection with the members of this awesome family.It would be nice to have more movies for us to share with our kids...Definitely 5 stars....
Reminded me of the movies Disney made when I was a kid 2005-01-26 - I grew up watching the Mouseketeers after schoool on tv, and Disney made those Hardy Boys movies, and Grand Champion reminds me of those. Very few movies for kids and/or families these days can rate 5 stars for being truly "kids'" movies. Grand Champion appealed to our entire family, and we read where the movie was made on a fraction of the budget of Disney-type movies, but you sure can't tell. It's got a great soundtrack, and one of the most fun parts of the movie is spotting all the big stars who have small roles, like Julia Roberts, Bruce Willis, George Strait and others. We've recommended it to several of our friends with kids.
