History rocked and rock made history
    during a sold-out three-gig stand at
Madison Square Garden in late February 2008 when icons Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood performed a concert together
for the first time since their all-too-brief days in the legendary Blind Faith in 1969. Whether they will ever team again is unknown. But with Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden, fans everywhere are able to experience the sound and the glory of a
performance on that famous stage by
two of rock's greatest artists. The second disc of this 2 DVD edition features 'The Road to Madison Square Garden', an exclusive
documentary featuring new interviews with Eric and Steve, together with rare footage and
photographs of Cream, Traffic and Blind Faith, plus, 'Rambling On My Mind', The final preparation for the
three legendary performances highlighted by an acoustic soundcheck performance by Eric of the Robert Johnson standard 'Rambling On My Mind',
plus bonus Madison Square Garden performances of 'Low Down,' 'Kind Hearted Woman' and 'Crossroads.'

Live from Madison Square Garden Reviews:
    Wonderful 5 Star Review
2009-12-13 - This is the 3rd DVD I've bought, I've given to my friends and left myself without one so I had to purchase 3..great dvd !

Clapton/Winwood at the top of their game 5 Star Review
2009-12-10 - Awesome disc....concert is around 2 hours 20 minutes. Description on Amazon was over 3 hours, but that includes the extra interview...and during the concert footage, it breaks away for 3-5 minute bites of the interview....and the interview bonus repeats some of the parts seen from the concert footage. The concert itself is fantastic. Clapton is at the top of his game lately, as good as the early Cream days if you ask me. Winwood is very good instrumentally, and it is so great to hear all those Traffic songs, but his voice is off a bit...it's certainly the exception to retain your voice as you age. One thing: most mention the clarity of blu ray...and this disc is sooooo sharp ... (you can see every fingerprint and scratch on Clapton's guitar); but sound wise, blu ray is way better than a regular dvd. I switched back and forth in my blu ray player between this blu ray and The Cream reunion at Royal Albert Hall in 2005 (not blu ray). No comparison....it's like comparing a metal cassette with a cheap non metal cassette (for those of you who remember those days).

Clapton & Winwood @ Madison Square Garden 5 Star Review
2009-11-26 - This is probably the best Blu-Ray I've ever seen. The sound is terrific and the video is really clear and crisp. Any Clapton/Winwood fan should seriously consider adding this to their collection. I'd never have gotten to see this live in concert, and this is the next best thing to being there. You have to watch this on a big screen...it's right-in-your-face classic rock at its best.

Clapton at his best 5 Star Review
2009-11-18 - If you are a Clapton fan you need this DVD it is the best Ive ever seen Clapton play. The whole concert is fantastic, it is a must have.

Excelent Performance Of Two Big Live Legends. 5 Star Review
2009-11-17 - Being a long time Clapton and Traffic fan, both artists separated and of course, together with Blind Faith, i must say that my expectations where high. This, regarding the quality, the song list, the performance, even the session musicians. I can say that this DVD is a must have because you will hear Clapton's hits, sung by Clapton and Stevie, also Traffic hits, sung by Stevie, joined by Clapton and of course, the Blind Faith songs.
I loved the compilation and the songs they chose. Also, a brief introduction to some songs where precise and correct, with respect to Buddy Guy's passing away.
The video quality is amazingly good, you can see Eric's sweat or the imperfections in the keyboard players sweater. I did not listen the audio with DTS or something like that, but with Stereo is superb, no need to lower or higher basses and trebles. Precise.
Regarding the performance, excellent, Eric's solos are always enjoyable and Stevie's keyboarding is still sweet.
I can assure you won't get disappointed in buying this DVD, because it has everything.
