  • Editorial Review:
Ice Cube and Mike Epps are the driving force of this high style, high impact, action/comedy. One's a top dog bounty hunter, the other a two-bit hustler. Add to the mix a botched diamond heist, a lost sinning lottery ticket, and one thing becomes clear...that it's All About the Benjamins.

Description of All About the Benjamins (New Line Platinum Series):
Ice Cube cowrote, produced, and stars in this action caper. Bucum (Cube) is a bounty hunter (get it?) with dreams of big money. Reggie (Mike Epps) is a small-time grifter who also has dreams of big money and is at the top of Bucum's list to boot. Yep, you guessed it: tough guy/funny guy buddy flick. All About the Benjamins is pretty much a by-the-numbers piece of work. There's plenty of macho posturing, gunfire, big-ticket items exploding, and curse words inserted into the script in lieu of actual punch lines. The plot has holes big enough to drive a locomotive through, but then again the plot isn't really the point. Epps's attempts at wacky comedy wear thin early on, but Ice Cube does a fine job, and together they do make quite a few moments hit. Best recommended for when you want turn-your-brain-off excitement. --Ali Davis

All About the Benjamins (New Line Platinum Series) Reviews:
Great action film with load of comedy, 3 Star Review
2008-03-25 - All About the Benjamins sets outs to be an action comdey and it succeeds on every level. Ice Cube in the lead role proves his action star status and his writing talent(he co-wrote the sciprt.) Mike Epps in the second lead continues to make a name for himself as a very funny comic and sidekick. The very lovely and sexy Eva Mendes is good in her role as Gina and Tommy Flannigan makes a good villain. Kevin Bray who has directed videos for N'Sync , 112 and Jagged Edge makes a good debut with this fun, upbeat action comedy.

    Funny 4 Star Review
2008-03-20 - Now this is comedy! I thought this was a pretty funny movie. Ice Cube and Mike Epps make a good team together.
I've watched this plenty of times.

Ice Cube goes through the motions 3 Star Review
2007-12-26 - I hate to be negative, but Ice Cube has been involved in some much better movies than this. It's not a terrible movie, since it has a few good laughs and some cool action sequences, like the wacky opening scene. But it's not exactly the most creative storyline, and I wonder if the people involved were really putting their full effort into it. Unlike some other reviewers, I thought that Mike Epps was pretty funny. The bad guys were pretty cool too, and Ice Cube did an okay job with his acting. Overall, not a great action movie by any means, but worth a look. Author of Adjust Your Brain: A Practical Theory for Maximizing Mental Health.

    Too Funny 5 Star Review
2007-01-20 - I can say this is one of my Favorite Ice Cube Movie. It is too funny! Mike Epps is hilarious!

    Trite 2 Star Review
2006-04-02 - The Fridays gang steals some diamonds. Mike Epps is not Chris Tucker no matter how hard he tries to be. His constant whinning is enough to ride my last nerve. Plus, everything about the movie is just campy and just wholly unbelieveable that I don't know where to begin. Whatever you do don't buy or rent this garbage-wait to catch it on TBS or something.
