Something Like Human Reviews:
Something like Fuel
2008-03-04 - If you are trying to decide whether to buy the original release of Something Like Human or this bonus version, let me just say that the songs that didn't make the cut last time didn't for a reason. The bonus tracks are not quite as "fuel-y" as the body of the CD. All of them are acoustical and slow, which is not the sound this reviewer particularly likes out of the gruff vocals. Still, I cannot speak for everyone, I just caution those interested to listen to samples of the final three tracks if you're so scrapped for cash that the extra couple dollars to buy this bonus version is an issue. Otherwise, my general opinion is the more music the better and the bonus tracks are still decent songs, so I still heartily recommend this CD for fans.
The best of Fuel!
2007-10-05 - If your a Fuel fan, you must have this record. If you like hard rock music with some ballads thrown in, then this is the perfect album for you. Great song-writting by a superb band.
Acoustic "Fuel" is way better
2006-08-29 - Sounds a bit too much like a generic band at times to be entirely worthy of purchase. A few gems include "Innocent," "Bad Day," and "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)", especially the acoustic version for the latter (Track 13). Overall this album seems more loud and obnoxious than purely good. Sometimes I forgot I was listening to music, thinking "what is all this noise?" Perhaps just get your hands on track 13, and maybe a few of the singles, and you'll be all set.
Fuel... Excellent!
2005-08-03 - I really enjoy this album. Fuel is the bomb. I got to hear them play live once. Very cool stuff. This album has about five great songs on it. Definitely worth a purchase. If you like their style definitely pick up Natural Selection as well. You will be significantly satisfied.
Brought a 2nd copy for the bonus songs
2005-02-19 - Already having purchased the original version of Fuel: Something Like Human, I came across this Special Expanded Version that included 3 bonus songs that once I listened to 'Daniel', I knew I had to have. And the acoustic version of 'In My Hands' is better than the studio version.
I would advise interested Fuel fans or music buffs to get this CD for the extra songs and the bonus multimedia once you insert it into your CD-ROM.
