2008-12-02 - This is probably the most star-studded nobody have ever seen. I first saw this movie in film class and was completely mesmerized. I'm glad it's finally available on DVD.

2007-07-01 - When I saw this film with Ellen Barkin, Gabriel Byrne, and Isabell Rossini, my first thought was why can't you buy it here in the USA. I saw it on cable and was so stunned by the trapeze training in Spain, the Siesta sex with a very young Ellen Barkin and young Gabriel Byrne. Rossini, Byrne's wife, is a passionately in love and jealous wife who makes the triangle. Her acting is superb and you feel your heart ripped out watching the betrayal of her trust. Shifts in the plot from high emotions to high gear storyline changes, capture the imaginination and drip with what obsession can do to people's lives. The photography and subtle metaphysical final scene will leave you wondering about every eternal question life offers. If you like to see films that shine with great performances before you knew the actors well from other films, this is a great one to get!
