Hilarious movie of the 80's!
2009-08-16 - I have seen this movie from my childhood years since I was in diapers. This was the most hilarious classical comedy about 2 story journalists (jeff goldblum & ed begley jr) who come to transylvania to investigate a frankenstein story which one thinks it's all crap and they get caught up with a corrupted mayer (jeffery jones) crazy & clumsy bellboy (michael richards) a hunch chef (john byner) working with his annoying wife (carol cane) a half naked dracula (geena davis) and a mad doctor scientist (joseph bologna) that will have you laughing out loud and also a great family film too.

I thought this movie was a little scary as a child but I had myself laughing out loud now and days twice as hard with this movie.

I LOVE IT!

Silly fun
2009-03-19 - This is a silly monster movie from the 80's - lots of great one liners and Jeff Goldblum and Ed Begley, Jr. make a great comedy team. There is even a very sexy Geena Davis (before the Fly and Cutthroat Island). Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfield)shows the physical comedy genius that he showed in UHF. Carol Kane's character is both adorable and irritaing and she plays it beautifully!

Dated, but hilarious...
2009-01-01 - It's very obviously made in the 80s, so there are parts that will make you cringe (the music, the hair, the jokes, etc.) Also, I can't imagine Romanians or Transylvanians are very fond of how their country is portrayed. However, Michael Richards is great! So are the monsters, especially the Wolf Man with hypertrichosis.

A movie, definitely not a film
2008-11-21 - Some films deserve five stars for their brilliance and insightfulness. If that's what you're looking for, what the heck are you doing here? This movie is fun, silly, and very campy. It's actually pretty completely ludicrous. But fun. Heck, it's cheap and you should watch it with friends. With alcohol.
