2009-08-18 - Geri Halliwell's 2005 release "Passion" is up to par, I feel sorry for the people who aren't aware that this record exsist, It's just so hot!. This is Geri's first of three albums that every track is a quality track, Kylie Minogue needs to get out the paper and ink and begin taking notes from her fellow british popstars. This is what it's all about right here. "Passion" was a great title for the album because Geri was very passionate about this release. What I really love about this album is how Geri mixes it up a bit, delivering hot firey dancetracks, pretty ballads and Ann Margret styled tracks. VERY "Ann Margret" is the best way to describe songs like the opening album titled track "Passion" & "I Give Up On Love". The opening track "Passion" has a lovey-dovey Loveboat-acoustic-sound to it. Almost sounds like Ann Margrets own "You Took Advantage Me", Just think "Jessica Rabbit" or Madonna in "Dick Tracy" and there you have it. "So I Give Up On Love" is very showtuney, It's a funny laughable song where Geri showcases her skills for comedy. My favorite ballad from the album is "Feel The Fear" this is an inspirational ballad with really good arrangment she also wrote a book with the same title. I wouldn't say ANY of the dance-tracks are better than the other, I would say they're different. "Love Never Loved Me" & "Ride It" (Which was the lead single of the album) are some really powerful dance tracks, I haven't heard anything like the two in a while. "Don't Get Any Better" & "Surrender Your Grove" are dance tracks also but at a different pace. They're more the groovy tracks of the album. Geri really did her thing with this album.

2009-06-29 - geri is a good singer she was in the spice girls i love her voice it is so pure she makes good songs and good music u like the spice girls then this cd is for u
passion of the halliwell
2009-05-19 - To sum it all up, Geri Halliwell put all of her efforts into this album. You can tell she stretched herself to create songs that were from her heart.
The album does have a couple decent songs. Among them, "Ride it" Geri's most commercial single to date. "Desire" has a great start as a Goldfrapp-esque tune, but loses momentum mid way through.
The tense moments happen when Geri attempts ballads. The strain in her voice is obvious, but you have to give her credit for branching out.
Ms. Halliwell has stated that music is her first love and ultimately she delivers music that is mediocre at best. We all know she will never be the complete package she was part of in the spice girls: the voice (melanie c), the look (victoria beckham), the charm (emma bunton), or the personality (mel b)..... but she gets a B for effort.
She's losing her motivation (whatever it is)
2007-10-10 - This album is good, but her previous effort "Scream If You Wanna Go Faster" was much better! There are some stand out tracks on this CD, namely "Ride It", "Desire", and "Let Me Love You More". It also features some big-band/jazz numbers at the opening and closing of the album that are a lot of fun.
And in headlines lately, Geri will be rejoining the Spice Girls as they reunite for one last work tour in December of 2007. How exciting!
Her best album
2007-06-11 - I both this album after some time it has been released. After earing it i realised was delighted.
It is nice to see that geri came back to their roots and she sounds better than ever.
According with what i see in the music scene nowadays i understood why this album was not a big sales success...europe is living on the hip hop era and i think that many people will agree when i write that european youngsters are under influence of american music and artists.
But this is for sure her best album yet.
Congratulations Geri.
