2006-06-18 - You've heard it all before. All that talk about how this is cracking good electro-pop, it's weird and saucy in a mainstream Euro trashy way, it's one of 2004's best tunes, yada yada yada...and guess what, this reviewer isn't going to lay it on you any different. Do I love it? Yes. Are Xenomania the best damn thing to hit pop music in the past five or six years? Absolutely. Does the whole thing about hanging around the kitchen in their underwear or fluttering their mascara like a butterfly make any sense to me? Not particularly, but do I care? It's got everything you need to make a fantastic track- an unforgiving dance beat, that in-your-face bassline begging you to get that butt shaking, and a series of three or four synth hooks that were kidnapped from the '80s and are being held at ransom to notch themselves straight into your brain. Sophomore slump? I think not.

The Show, Part One
2004-10-30 - Girls Aloud's fifth single, "The Show" is a electro pop song with some serious synths here. The track itself is filled with energy, and Girls Aloud here dish out some serious pop music. Along the lines of Rachel Steven's "Some Girls" this electropop track takes it up a notch.

The remix version of "Jump" by Flip & Fill is a decent attempt to create some energy in the lackluster original version. If you ever heard anything by Flip & Fill their tradition sound is still present: fast synths and high energy.

Overall, this single is definitely worth getting if you're a huge fan of remixes, and a fan of "Jump." However, if you're truly after "The Show" it's more prudent to actually buy the second single as that provides the video, plus a remix.
