Two rare and highly sought-after '70s soul albums by Gladys Knight & The Pips: Claudine and Pipe Dreams. These two Soundtracks, available for the first time on a single CD, have been out of print for five years. Originally released in 1974, Claudine was composed entirely by soul superstar Curtis Mayfield, and performed by Gladys Knight & The Pips. It features the million-selling single "On And On." The album went gold, and hit number 1 on the R&B charts in the summer of 1974. The CD also contains the complete soundtrack for Pipe Dreams, originally released in 1976. This album is entirely performed by Gladys Knight & The Pips and contains the hit single "So Sad The Song."

one of the best soundtracks...ever 
2009-08-07 - I am thrilled to see this soundtrack again. It brings back wonderful memories from childhood. My parents took us (me & 3 siblings) to see this movie. After that, trips 'down south' weren't complete until this played on the 8track player at least 6 times! My mother loved Gladys Knight, harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and Lou Rawls! I hope I've created musical memories of family for my own children, that when I'm gone, will remind them of me.
Ahhh, the good times
2009-06-16 - "Make Yours A Happy Home" brings tears to my eyes almost everytime i hear it. It reminds me of the closing scene in the movie where they finally get it together. Me being a step-dad, i felt Rupe's pain in that movie, so the soundtrack gives me a lift as well as bringing back memories of a simpler time in my life.

2009-03-26 - The only thing better than the movie was the soundtrack. I loved all of the music from the movie and I just listen to it over and over again. Curtis Mayfield was a musical genius, and Gladys Knight and the Pips were clearly at the top of their game. I love this CD.
Two "lost" albums finally surface.
2008-06-28 - When I was 15, Gladys Knight & the Pips were arguably the most popular group in the country. The soundtrack for "Claudine", written and produced by the late, great Curtis Mayfield, was a tour-de-force for the group, as well as a modest cinematic hit for stars Dihann Carroll and James Earl Jones. But the real treat here is the soundtrack for Gladys' acting debut, "Pipe Dreams", containing the # 12 R&B hit, and my personal favorite Gladys performance, "So Sad the Song". The movie was a bust, but the soundtrack is finally available again. It only took 31 years.
