The Birdcage: Original United Artists Motion Picture Soundtrack Reviews:
We Are Family
2007-03-01 - I love this movie!! It's so funny. Nathan Lane is gay in real life and I adore him when he was playing in this gay movie with Robin Williams. I am not a huge fan of Robin Wiliams tho. I kept on laughing laughing and laughing from the beginning to the end!!! I wish I could put this 10 stars but Amazon only limit 1 to 5.
I Could Have Danced all Night
2007-01-08 - This is a great soundtrack to one of my all time favourite movies. It was worth the price just to hear the stars sing "I could have danced all night."
Can That Boy Sing
2006-07-05 - I liked the movie so much, I was ecstatic to see that Nathan Lane performs the full version of "Can That Boy Fox Trot" on the soundtrack. Is the man wonderful or what? He's not only one of the most consistently hilarious actors, but that boy can SING! I also listen to "Little Dream" at least 5 times a day, it's sweet and lush and beautiful. The rest of the music is memorable too, especially the less-well-known pieces like "Mi Guajira" by Cachao & the "Family Salsa".
A all around good album
2004-08-20 - An excellent film soundtrack, with some great classic hits (Donna Summer's "She Works Hard..")...but the real treat is the two songs Nathan Lane performers, written by Musical Theater God Stephen Sondheim ("Can That Boy Foxtrot" was a song written for Follies, Sondheim's show that is considered to be the greatest musical written)
Far from "Hidious"
2001-11-03 - Even the music makes me think of all the hillarity in this-one of my favorite movies! Robin and Nathan hope you work together again someday!
