Editorial Review:
Determine the value of a CD collection with this price guide - an indispensable source for anyone who wants to buy and sell CDs. Big Monkey's Compact Disc Price Guide includes most major bands and lists them by artist, title, format, label, catalog number, country of manufacture, year of release, and current value. See what is in print and out of print, and have the catalog number to order the CD if it still is in print. This book contains every genre of music ever needed, as well as hundreds of photos of rare CDs that have never been seen before.

Big Monkey's Compact Disc Price Guide: A Cd Collector's Handbook
2007-01-16 - I purchased this for my son for a Christmas gift. He was very happy with it.
A much need book with usual first edition problems
2006-01-07 - This is a much needed book for the collecting community and I am glad that someone has attempted to tackle this subject. For a first edition it is a good start. Hopefully future editions will be more complete like the Tim Neely Goldmine price guides. I believe that the author has biten off more than he could chew trying to list both domestic and import compact discs. A few examples of what I was looking for that are not represented are as follows: If you want to know if your original Paul McCartney "Tug of War" CD on Columbia is worth more than the current Capitol version you will only see the Capitol version listed. The Columbia one sells for a premium on Ebay. The Motown Two-fers that MCA put out in the late 80's are also collectible and not listed. Some popular rock artists are well represented while others especially Soul are not. Like all price guides the values are subjective. Currently available compact discs have their full retail price listed which makes their value over inflated. If this is going to be the book of record then collecter's input for future edtions will make this book a must-have.
