I honestly got tired of correcting my boyfriend on the words he was singing, so I got him this book as a gift and now we're singing in harmony! It also has some great inside notes to what certain words mean or where they came from. Essential Dead Head book!

2009-08-19 - Delightful to hold, endearing to review, reading the lyrics will enable your tune. Enjoy the expanse of a cultural depth unsurpassed except by Metallica, Korn, Yes, or Frank Zappa's cast. Don't furget Jethro Tull, King Crimson and Led Zepplin's woo; and by the way, good times await Stones fans too! Have fun-this is a true history gem for you library and fun.

2009-07-09 - Bought this as a gift for my wife who is a dyed-in-the-wool deadhead, and it was a total hit. I think by now she's probably read it cover-to-cover, although it's more of a reference book than "a read."

Although not really "into the dead" in the same way, I find myself dipping into it when some lyric isn't clear or catches my ear. Invariably there's some fascinating little tid bit there that leaves me enjoying the music just a little more. Great buy!
