Editorial Review:
Book & CD. There are 2 versions of every song on the CD: a full-performance track with an amazing sound alike recording, and a professional accompaniment track to play along with. When you use the CD in a MAC or Windows-based computer, the TNT (Tone 'N' Tempo) Changer lets you easily change the key and tempo of the songempo) Changer lets you easily change the key and tempo of the song. Contents: American Idiot, Basket Case, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, Brain Stew, Longview, Minority, Wake Me Up When September Ends, When I Come Around
Green Day Book & Play Along CD (Drums) (Ultimate Drums Play-Along) Reviews:
Obnoxious click is a deal breaker
2009-02-24 - The click is mixed way too loud and I know of no way to get rid of it (it literally gives me a headache). The illusion of playing along with other live musicians is ruined. I have about 10 play along CDs and I will not buy another from this publisher simply because of the click.
Playing along with a click is a great practice tool, however I prefer play along CDs to have no click after a count off so you are focused on locking in with the other musicians.
If the click was fixed I'd give it 4 stars.
Green Day Book
2008-04-11 - Wow wonderful book in great condition once it arrived expected it a bit earlier but boy it was worth the wait, very good cd and informative book great to actually have the proper words for the songs.
Thanks
Mary
Great transcriptions, moderately irritating click track on the CD
2007-10-06 - I'm not a huge Green Day fan, but there isn't much sheet music for learning the drums and this is a pretty fun way to pick up some punk drumming. The transcriptions are easy to read and accurate to my ear. All the songs are fun to play although beginners should be warned that some have very fast tempos that can be challenging. My only complaint is the CD that comes with the book has a VERY loud click track that can be extremely distracting. I prefer the way the Hal Leonard play along series have the click drop way back in the mix for silent portions and go away all together when the band is playing on the music minus one portions.
