Appetite for Destruction Reviews:
Oozing with Quality
2009-10-24 - Appetite for Destruction may best be known for the hits like Paradice City, Welcome to the Jungle, and Sweet Child O' Mine, but the entire album oozes with the same quality as the three prior.
A rarity in ablums these days, every song in Appetite for Destruction is uniquly amazing. in fact, my personal song is not Paradice City or Welcome to the Jungle, but Think About You.
There isnt much to say that hasnt already been said, but its unfortunate that such a talented group of guys are no longer willing to make music together again. So if you enjoyed any of the "hit" songs in Appetite for Destruction, youll love the entire album.
THE ULTIMATE HARD ROCK RECORD
2009-07-30 - This was, and still is, one of the best hard rock, heavy metal, records, thus far. Guns N Roses, were smokin' hot when this one came out, but have long since cooled down, with their latest release of Chinese Democracy, ten years in the making, new band line up and far removed from the hard rock sound of the first album, except for Axl's vocals, which remains the same. In any case, all the songs on Appetite are strong and solid, and still get much airplay on the radio today.
guns and stinks
2007-12-14 - Did you know these guys copied the main guitar riff from the Black Sabbath song "Zero the Hero" and used it for "Paradise City?" Don't believe me? Just buy Sabbath's Born Again album and read the inside notes. All the information you need to know is mentioned right there in the notes. The other two hits by Guns N' Roses are just overplayed, unmemorable rock songs that seriously copied what Aerosmith was doing back in the mid 70's with the dirty, speedy rock sound. I don't sense a hint of originality anywhere. I don't sense any good music anywhere on the Appetite for Destruction album either. So why is it so popular? It's not a classic by any stretch of the imagination.

the best album ever made
2005-10-16 - if you like rock, then this is an album u havta have. If you like music, then this is an album u havta have. If you have a pulse, then this is an album u havta have.
Basically this album should be owned by everyone who likes music and appreciates the art form. This is obviously a classic album, yet is contemporary. You know its a good album when after x amount of years, and you still wanna listen to it. I myself am a huge gnr fan. I got into the music when November Rain hit the charts (I was a preteen then...oh and I suggest you do urself a favour and get those illusion albums). Anyways, AFD is the best album ever--I still listen to it till this very day, when I go out for my jogs. If you are not familiar w/ the group, let me explain some things: the music is catchy, deep, raw, intense, violent, sweet, dance-able, all wrapped into one. each and EVERY single track is an awsome song--it's like a greatest hits album! This was their debut album (1987) and it was a shot in the arm to the stale hair bands of the 80s. Trust me, you will like it, and appreciate it for all it's worth. All the members of the group played an integral part in the making of the best album of all time, and you will thank them for that!
